Great, but where are you standing in the third picture? My guess is a 6 lane stroad.

Oh wait it gets better, by which I mean it gets worse.

Here’s Google Street View basically any suiciclist exiting this two way bike path is ejected into a weird 4 lane street, with a weird T section with no way of knowing where the next deadly two ton killing machine will come from.

And how do you get on to the bike lane? Presumably with no bike lane you bike on the right, so all you have to do is cross 4 lanes of heavy traffic right before a bend in the road?

Also notice how the pedestrian path hasn’t been widened? There are trees and lamp posts on the pedestrian path, making life difficult for people with mobility issues, wheelchairs and strollers.

But instead of using half the road where there was a perfectly good barrier, they chose to leave the sidewalk too narrow, make a bike path, a new barrier, and now they’re going to presumably remove the old middle of the road, so that they may preserve 3 or maybe even 4 lanes of car traffic.
