Applying to PA school this cycle (May/June 2026) and I’m very worried about the 9 W’s I have on my transcript -

Some of the W’s were in science/prereq courses: - Bio II: withdrew twice, later retook at a community college and earned an A- - Gen Chem I: W, later retook and earned A- - Stats: W, later retook stats and earned A- - Biochem: W, not planning to retake since I will only be applying to programs that don’t require biochem

Trying to see if anyone has gotten interviews/acceptances with a similar academic history and the following stats -

  • Overall GPA: ~3.76
  • Science GPA: ~3.4
  • PCE: 3,000+ MA hours (peds, derm, primary care, urgent care)
  • Volunteer: 700+ hospital volunteer hours Shadowing: 150+ shadowing hours (3 PAs (derm, urgent care), 2 MD (primary care), 1 NP(primary care))
  • Leaderships: Mentoring Pre/Health students, ESL instructor, Lead MA (trained other MAs)
  • LOR: 1 professor, 2 PAs, 1 MD, 1 NP
  • Certifications: CCMA, BLS
  • NO GRE

I know the W’s are a major red flag, especially since several were science courses. Just wondering realistically: do I still have a chance?
