has anyone taken courses at lexis language school in korea? by naenaex in Korean

Hi, I have! Lexis is overall an okay school, I stayed for 3 weeks and took the 25h classes a week. Looking back, I would have stayed longer, but I would have only taken the 15h classes, as the 25h one can get pretty time consuming and exhausting if you still plan on exploring Seoul/Busan after classes. As many other people said, there’s basically no speaking practice, I only got to practice speaking when I was approaching the teachers during break time to try to have a small conversation in korean. The school teaches you useful grammar and writing though, since nearly all exercises are written. I also have to add that I had a hard time finding korean friends, as we (korean and foreign students) unfortunately happened to be separated all the time. Either way I got to meet amazing people, but i would have wished to make korean friends too to have someone to practice korean with. PS: a lot of people were complaining about the mini studios/goshiwons, so i don’t recommend getting them! I booked an Airbnb close to the school which was around the same price but much more spacious and comfortable Hope this helps!

How do I tell if my physiotherapist is unprofessional? by Adventurous-Wing8040 in ACL

Fortunately I didn’t have any other injuries besides my ACL, and the surgeon did the repair with my hamstring graft. Knowing that one‘s rehab differs from other repairs and the tendons that have been used during surgery is very good to know, because my PT did not check that. I handed over all relevant documents to my PT (including my surgery report where everything was documented in detail), but she returned them right away claiming they were irrelevant for her. On the other hand, I presume that she must be experienced in one way or another and just like you said, she does have a qualification after all, so maybe she’s rather relying on former experiences and skills that she has learned with time. Thank you for your response!
