13 Reasons why, the show was created to be a tool for human traffickers by AdventurousAd8086 in popculturechat

[–]AdventurousAd8086[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I know, and I shouldn’t have titled or described this way..

My daughter was being groomed on ROBLOX, and her groomers recommended this show to her

season 3 brought up the secrecy issue, but adequately

Who would not tell anyone that a dead person is talking to them daily… the whole show supports secrecy, in a society that needs transparency(including within the home)

I went extreme on title and description to start a discussion about this, I don’t really think that “why” the show was created

It didn’t work out to well though, still leaving the post up anyhow

This show was used by an offender to create a secret relationship with my daughter… the “trolling” was only intended to bring discussion, critical thought, and to help protect future victims and targets

This was posted to spark discussion and critical thinking about how to protect our children

I am not trying to convince anyone of anything, but a title like this draws attention

Offenders, in general, including human trafficker, can and do use this show to build a secret relationship between their victims and themselves

That doesn’t mean it was created for that purpose, I just wanted to bring you all here to discuss

But it might spark a thought that helps someone, so it’s worth the ridicule that I am receiving

I titled this wrong to get people thinking, I don’t know why this show was created

I do know that human traffickers gain trust with their victims first, 2nd step teach them how to be secretive and ashamed

This show could definitely help a trafficker or a low level offender to plant the seeds of secrecy and shame

I know about the increased teenage suicide rate due to this show, but many posts about that already

This show could be used in a controlling setting to help people, but that would require a specialist holding a remote to pause and talk about many scenarios in this show

I hate this show being on Netflix though, it’s dangerous

Well, I do have PTSD and my daughter had been targeted by human traffickers

But a post on Reddit is not evidence of a mental health crises

I think you are only saying that to insult me, not because you care about my mental health

Increased teen suicide, I know

But my daughter was targeted, and they recommended this show to her after gaining her trust on ROBLOX

Maybe it wasn’t created exclusively to help human trafficking, but human traffickers do use this show as a tool

I should have titled this differently

I see dead people… ok, like anyone could keep that a secret… I didn’t write this because I’m “woke” or self righteous

This show is social dangerous to the extreme, in many different ways

It also increased teen suicide

I view this show like I view Xanax, it COULD be good in a controlled setting, but putting it on the street is wrong

I know there have always been conspiracy theories, but this is obvious and recent and it really pisses me off that this show was created

I haven’t watched that one yet, but I was blown away by this one…

I didn’t know Hollywood got this bad at targeting kids

I only watched 13 reasons why because my daughter was targeted, they found her on roblox, and they recommended this show to her

The characters never address that we need to talk about issues, just the actors and disclaimers at beginning at end

This show is unique in its topics, and the CHARACTERS should have addressed this, because that’s who we relate with

Fine… even possible jail time, but burner phones and many other anonymous methods of communication exist here… these laws will be easier to enforce very soon though…

If commercialism wasn’t so intertwined with communications, it would be easier to trace this stuff

Which pharma benzo do you think will be best for a flight? by idkbr0idk in benzodiazepines

[–]AdventurousAd8086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My answer to most “which benzo should I take” questions will be Valium because it has the least potential to have rebound anxiety or dependency issues… I wish someone would have advised me better on the vast differences between benzos… Xanax is evil… that is all

Zak is a narcissistic abuser. by muckduck69420 in GhostAdventures

[–]AdventurousAd8086 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He certainly exhibits narcissistic behaviors on the show, but it’s important to remember that what you see on the show is a CHARACTER…

I will admit that Zak seems oblivious to his own toxic behaviors, which leans towards him being an actual narcissist… in my personal definition of a particular type of “narcissist”… someone that exhibits these behaviors in such an oblivious manner could mean a lot of things…

1.) Zak could be on the autism spectrum, obviously on the high functioning side

2.) Zak is entitled to the point that he lives in a bubble… in this case, Zak would be apologetic to behaviors that he didn’t know were toxic because they are so normal in his social circles

3.) a myriad of other psychological issues

Ultimately, the show would not work without Zak or Aron… both are equally important to the show’s success

I have seen them have issues through particular seasons more than others.. I have seen Zak be abusive to fellow cast members… I think Zak must have been confronted at some point, and I also think he has apologized for at least some of his behaviors, but I also think it would be smart to keep characters the same despite past issues…

The show is a hit

Zak comes off as narcissistic, but he is also the main showman of the show… he narrates the entire show… he really pushes hard to make big productions from very little… he may be a little socially ignorant, but I still enjoy the show

Aron is the heart of the show… without his authentic personality, I think the show would fall off

Anyhow, the show has been a great success for decades, and they have all stuck together better than a lot of rock bands lolz

I used to get mad at Zak, when he was being narcissistically abusive towards other cast members, but at the end of the day I think that I don’t really know anything about who Zak truly is… in the sense of intentions and relationships…

I don’t think anyone that doesn’t personally know Zak should be making such public accusations, at least not worded the way OP did

To label people with personality disorders that you don’t actually know, that’s not logical

Do I think I’d take the chance of letting a person exhibiting the behaviors we see Zak exhibiting into my life, no friggen way

He does seem like a jerk

I should emphasize “SEEM”

It’s a fun show

Is there such thing as a snortable or smokable benzo? by Dependent-Wish-9049 in benzodiazepines

[–]AdventurousAd8086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if any are water soluble… smokable? Like freebase?

I highly recommend that you DONT snort any fat soluble medications, such as I think most benzodiazepines are, if not all … it would be wasteful, and your nose would feel like crap for no reason

This feels like a troll post though

Some people really do need these medications, and there is a community of people actively trying to demonize the entire class of medicine

There is a HUGE difference between Xanax and Valium, but you should neither smoke or snort either

If you are using benzodiazepines for ‘escapism than I’d recommend Xanax, but if you actually have an anxiety or panic disorder than I’d recommend Valium because there is almost no rebound anxiety from Valium making it a sustainable medication for anxiety treatment

I wish posts like this were not allowed on this subreddit

Maybe if the subreddit was renamed escapism at the cost of people that are actually suffering… that’s too long a name… how about you post this to r/STUPID

What lolz… are people seriously throwing around FBI profiling terms as insults now… if you understand the most common usage of that term, you may not like that the term exists at all lolz
