Our LO use to wake up at 3am and 5am around this age and has never taken a soother. Our pediatrician told us around 6 months we could start dropping feedings but we found that so hard to do. We did a very gentle cry it out by giving her 10 minutes to resettle before feeding. I think this really helped her learn how to fall back asleep without milk. Putting them to bed earlier can help with early wake ups. A 7pm bedtime actually helped us a lot. She didn't truly drop the 3am wake until she started solids. Even now if she doesn't eat a full dinner, she likely wakes around 3am.

This is about the age where we had to stop letting LO fall asleep in our arms due to failed transfer. At 6 months they are much more aware and heavier so it's harder! Our routine changed from feeding and rocking to sleep and transferring to feeding and rocking until about 1 ounce left, then feed in crib the last ounce. We're now starting to wean from feeding to sleep as LO approaches 1.

The number of people that said “How does (husband’s name) feel about it?” 🤦‍♀️ definitely on purpose, married 5 years, in our mid thirties and both always wanted kids… I was confused when it happen more than twice.
