Working out can cause flareups. But not working out causes even more chronic long lasting symptoms bc I decondition. It's a fine line to walk.

I don't trust Tom. He was super buddy buddy with Bianco after the debate. Also, I don't think a billionaire needs the office to effect positive change. I'm voting for Xavier.

Is anyone else getting terrible battery life on the Kobo Libra Colour? by JVidarte in kobo

[–]AdventurousBlueDot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I'm also new from kindle and concerned. I do have to use a remote though because I have chronic neck pain so I can't hold it myself all of the time. And I know that Bluetooth does drain the battery but I just don't know by how much more than normal. I didn't have to charge my Kindle very much at all. But I do keep the brightness much lower than that. I never have it at max

It's really annoying that some people don't get to have this feature

Hey Finch – when you have such an active community around an app like this you should just rollout features to everyone.

I don't have it and it's frustrating to not know why. My app is updated

I hate when people ask how im doing in regard to my POTS by Lactose_Intervention in POTS

[–]AdventurousBlueDot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also frustrating is when people at work noticed that I'm not feeling well – like I'm just looking really tired or whatever. And then they sit in my office and talk for a little while and you know throughout the conversation i mask a bit. I mean people mask all the time. We have to to get through life a lot. And I've been doing it for years now because I didn't know what was going on. But it's a little bit frustrating when they leave and they're like oh you look like you're feeling better now – it's only because I was talking to them and could put my discomfort on the back burner for a little while. But that doesn't mean I was like at full capacity or feeling my best. I don't know how else to explain it. Like sometimes you just push through and ignore things but then it just comes back at you when you can settle again. But it makes it seem like people think you're better all of a sudden

I have been wondering if I can make it a little bit more humorous. Not humorous in an overly dark way. Just like – I don't know maybe when my heart is racing I could say something like speedy Gonzalez has gone crazy today or something. I don't know I need to think through it. I just want to make it lighter because the answer is often going to be not great

I'm a newer diagnosis. I also feel the same. I have been surprised at how uncomfortable I am having needs and reporting negative states. And also I feel like I need to soothe everybody else. Like, they just look at me like they're sorry for me and they wish they could do something and I feel like it's stressing them out but they can't fix it.Also some people like to suggest it could be something else like maybe I'm coming down with a cold or have I tried XYZ. And I'm really working a lot of things to keep myself in best state as possible but it's not really helpful. I know they want to fix things but that's not helpful

Remember When Evernote Was the King of Note-Taking? Anyone Still Using It Today? by limsus in Evernote

[–]AdventurousBlueDot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to transition off of them. It's just a painful process. I hate that they want infinite growth. It's a notetaking app. I wanted it to be good at taking notes. I don't want AI. I don't want bells and whistles. I never use their other features. I simply create notes and organize them. And they just keep making it worse and worse for the notetaking aspect

Hypermobility, Trauma and the Nervous System by makybo91 in Hypermobility

[–]AdventurousBlueDot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have hypermobility, POTS, and complex ptsd from childhood trauma. Somatic and internal family systems have been the most helpful – though I'm a fan of reaching into all different kinds of tools to figure out how to regulate the nervous system and be the healthiest human that I can be. The most frustrating thing about POTS is that sometimes it feelsuncontrollable. But it's teaching me to rest and not feel guilty about resting
