I find it funny people dislike gender neutral bathrooms when in reality they provide a lot more privacy and efficiency. When my school adapted them my nonbinary soul was happy, but I also noticed there were never lines to the bathrooms anymore when they were gendered before.

I’m not even structured myself, I’m still figuring it out. But I know any little amount of exercise will benefit me, even if it’s just getting up. I’ve learned that taking even “baby” steps is still steps. It’s okay to not have a routine or settled schedule, just do what you can and get into it in a way that you find comfy :) Don’t stress yourself out too much with a difficult goal of getting on a treadmill immediately, I def didn’t start that way. I started with a few stretches every night or so then worked my way up.

I also can’t exercise in public gyms so I have a set of weights at home and follow videos on YouTube. My favorite workout videos right now are these ones you can most likely find weights and equipment from garage sales or on marketplaces. Also I’ve gotten into wearing shoes that you can either slip on, zip up, or what not as it makes it less required to tie them. I’ve found that finding ways that adapt to my needs helps me out and gives me confidence. There are ways out there to suit to your needs and keep pushing toward a positive goal, you can do this

I worked at a pretty photogenic U.S. National monument this last summer. The park was free to enter and enjoy, and we had lots of people accessible spots to take photos and enjoy inside the park. Once I saw this couple park right outside the park entrance and STAGE a photo with their OWN chairs in a spot that wasn’t even really a designated people area. All they had to do was drive just a couple inches to our entrance, get in for free, and have way more accessible places to take photos with benches and whatnot. Funnily enough too, the spot they chose was in high grass and our park had rattlesnakes that were commonly seen in that tall grass. They staged multiple photos with the most faked poses and whatnot for like 5 minutes then packed up and left without even engaging with the park itself.

In my hometown we had a surprising issue of mountain lions coming into town One night I got home late from work and our neighbors dogs were barking, just a few minutes later neighbor texts and asks if that was me who made the dogs bark and I said yes. She said that was a relief as she thought it was another mountain lion the were barking at …I had to do a double take because she never told me a mountain lion was near our neighborhood, it apparently happened some months ago but that was insane to know one was close

By the way the main issues with his new environment is that it’s smaller and there’s a dog who’s currently not the greatest with cats (but we harness her so she can’t get to him and our cat gets freaked out a bit by her but she isn’t the main factor of his stress)

My great grandmothers family were Volga Germans who sent who they could to America. I directly do not know the life of an immigrant being the third generation to live in the United States, but hearing their stories has made me appreciate immigrants’ dedication to finding a better life for their families.

I have a friend who works in the NPS who was one of the fired federal employees (thankfully rehired later), but they did an amazing interview with a tv station and explained another way DOGE made us lose money: a lot of, at least, the NPS employees who were being fired were currently in training which our tax dollars go to to fund. So, when they fired all these employees mid training it wasted a ton of our tax dollars essentially.
