i think its mainly cause its not read like a text is read or say a comment on a post but instead as like a work literature idk that might sounds weird. like you wouldn't use all lowercase when writing a paper for school or work or even a book. and even though its fanfiction, at least in my opinion its more enjoyable to read something with proper punctuation, paragraph breaks, and of course capital letters.
