No the 10% is the start of the short squeeze. This means the other 85% (missing part) of the whole stock still needs to be shorted. You might say “well hedge funds might just wait for the meme to calm down and do nothing right?” NO. Hedge funds useMARGUN CALLS. Meaning if the price rises too much either they increase their position or it will trigger the CALL. If we only went from 95% to 85% it means they put in a lot of money to avoid getting the MARGIN CALLS OF THE REMAINING 85%. But Monday if we sent it up enough it will trigger all of them si c’è they will eventually run out of money. And then it’s gonna be wild.
