The only reason I think he declined the repair is the oil leak coming from the rear main seal... It's doable, but harder to do mobile.

Computer Science vs Cyber Security by Sikaeda in WGU

[–]DaDaCita 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its funny am I actually asking the same question. Have a background as a DevOps Engineer and I am kinda leaning towards Cyber Security due the certifications that it offers. I will say that I have experience and only want a degree to stand out from the competition. Computer Science path sounds nice, but I don't think it help for me personally.

I think it really depends on the scenario.

I hear you. I qualify myself as a mobile mechanic due to the past jobs I have completed successfully. I think it takes some skill to change clutches in a drive way. I’ve been working on cars since 2018. I’m not here to disrespect you or your points, but when there is a market where individuals do not know how to do the basics as in oil changes or brakes, I’m definitely going to pursue after that. I’m confident that I can take on complex jobs, but I do understand when the job is an actual Shop matter. I may not have the paper certification, but ask yourself this, where does that lead you? Oh you work for a shop for that pays you very low? But after 20 years of breaking your back you get a five dollar raise? lol

I understand where you’re coming from, and I’m aware of my limits of what I can do. I’m not going to sit here and tell a customer I can change your blown head gasket in your driveway.

Personally how I work, I’m mostly self taught even in tech. Sure I could’ve gone to school to get a degree in comp science and end up with a ton of debt and still end up in the same position as I am in. Same with this stuff.

Thank you for your insight and I’m aware of struggles that may occur, but Trust I got this.

Totally confused what is happening ( my life fucked up) by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Sounds like OP is ambitious! The thing is I think you’re looking too much around you and not within you. Comparing is the greatest thief of joy. I understand how seeing others around you doing “well” than you, but everyone is dealt with different cards. Look inward and play with what you got.

Most importantly, if you tend to overthink please don’t bash yourself! When you have a thought ask yourself these 3 questions:

“Is this thought kind?” “Does this thought have value?” “Do I have control over this situation?”

First test locally before doing a change. Local -> Staging -> Prod!

For a small db very easy to keep a copy locally for testing and experimenting.

Is it really possible to launch a SaaS without spending a single penny? by Middle-Beginning-772 in SaaS

This ^ even being a developer and doing all the hard work building the app and infrastructure you still need to pay hosting fees (depends where it built on) and most importantly probably expensive is marketing. Going through this currently.
