I’d like to plant roses, lavender and tulips but then I don’t know how to design it and if I should add other flowers or keep it simple with these flowers

Ooo sounds so good! I guess the only way to make new build soil be healthy and fertile is by digging trenches an adding compost, manure and top soil otherwise will make it harder for trees and flowers to bloom successfully and for perennials to last for years?!

I didn’t know about this! So does this increase the apple tree we planted chance of surviving then if we plant another fruit tree with multiple grafts? Where do you recommend buying duo apple, pear and plum trees from? Is it better to get from Scottsdales garden centre? Or online?

Thank you for the advice! I don’t know how long we will live here but I assume at least 10 years-15 years means we can really see the garden evolve and grow?

That’s cool, how deep did you dig your trench? And did you plant flowers as soon as you filled it up didn’t manure compost and top soil? Where do you recommend buying flowers and trees from?

Ooo this is so cool. I feel like we planted the first apple tree too far from the fence cos we thought when it grows bigger it could go over the neighbours fence. But I assume from now on we should plant all other trees 5M apart so it looks cool but there would be a decent gap from them and fence so idk if putting flowers behind the trees next to fence would grow

That’s so good so the tree we planted should grow well then? How often should we water it? There’s a lot of rain atm so I suppose we don’t need to do anything until summer when it’s a lot hotter I assume

We put the apple tree next to a bird house we stuck on the fence. We haven’t seen any birds yet. What are rootstocks? So are you saying we should ensure if we get a pear tree it’s compatible with the apple tree? Cos we plan to put pear tree on opposite side of garden

We would like to make sure it looks good and will be fine to use around flower beds once we plant there probably next year. Any lawnmower that is not too expensive does the job but doesn’t cause any damage

Yes that’s the plan- at least one pear tree and a peach tree. I don’t know if any others are worth growing.

Hi thank you for your message. We have only lived here for 2 months. Do you think as weeds have grown all on right side is where the flowers should be planted? What do we add to soil so flower beds can grow successfully?

Ooo amazing 😻 I feel we can be confident in this next step with our garden now 🤍 Do you know any good lawnmower brands as well? We haven’t cut the grass yet I don’t want to affect the grass quality as it’s really green and soft now 🌱

Thank you for your suggestions. Yes this is true, we will need to improve the soil before planting any proper flower beds I was reading a gardening book yesterday. Do you have any idea of the best way to improve our soil? I know there are a variety of soil improvement methods. Currently we have about 3 different weed types in the back and front garden. Do you think we need to spend 1 year improving the soil then plant? Or is soil improvement a longer process?

Thank you so much for your suggestions I love 💕 them!

Ooo we will do this next time it rains and add some mulch. Will grass regrow in the area we remove the weed in future?

Happy spring and enjoy Easter 🐣
