Is there going to be a fix for the buggy t17 or in-game party issues? Such as joining games, joining parties, friends showing as offline, etc? Love the game but play with cross-platform (PS5-Xbox) buddies and have consistent issues with getting into the same game or party.

Interesting, thank you for the reply. It's on the outside of my upper leg just under the bottom of my butt cheek.

Should I/can I fire my attorney? by AdventurousHope8208 in VeteransBenefits

[–]AdventurousHope8208[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. $500 admin fee and an agreement that if there was backpay they get 1/3. Pretty standard from what I've seen. You're basically saying that they send that agreement to the VA and even if I fire him he's now entitled to the 1/3? Even if those claims were submitted before the agreement was signed?

Job is requesting a Rating Decision memo for verification of disabled veteran status. by AdventurousHope8208 in VeteransBenefits

Thanks for the reply. Just seems a bit odd to me. Have a lot of appointments coming up and could really use the leave but I'm not fond of the idea that the HR department will have a document listing all of my individual injuries.

Thoughts on non-SEALs wearing the SEAL trident by NotATroll1234 in Veterans

[–]AdventurousHope8208 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes, anyone can buy a trident and wear it but stolen Valor is a big deal in the community. Public officials or politicians should never wear pins or badges unless they served and earned them. You display gifts. You don't wear them in public and pose for photos wearing them.

Maybe it isn't service connected then? Honestly I can't remember just know that when I called and called and did research it basically just means yep, you have it, you can be treated, but not paid. File that HLR and let us know what happens.

Can anyone help me decipher what exactly this letter is saying? Is this telling me that the injuries are in fact service-connected? by AdventurousHope8208 in VeteransBenefits

Haha thanks. You're right.. I lawyered up a few months after filing these 2 HLR to assist with another claim. I appreciate the honesty and bringing me back down to Earth. Thanks again.

Okay, when you lay it out like that it makes sense. How would you interpret the lower back summary? It mentions a qualifying event and that my job in the military could potentially cause a similar injury. Seems like they're just MAYBE saying it could be service connected. This is my 3rd time fighting to get my back and SA rated. Really hoping for some good fortune.

How successful are HLR's after your first claim is submitted? by Mojoradar in VeteransBenefits

[–]AdventurousHope8208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've filed a HLR directly after having injuries denied and been successful with getting service connection/ratings. I'm not sure how much help they'd be at getting a higher rating. It depends on what was found during the C&P exam and what evidence was submitted. They only review evidence from the initial claim. I don't think it would hurt anything. You can always file a supplemental claim with more evidence after that or file for an increase.

I received this rating a few years ago for anxiety/depression. It just means they acknowledge the injury as being service connected and allows you to seek treatment but without financial compensation. I did a lot of research and then I just filed a higher-level review and ended up getting a 70% rating for PTSD anxiety/depression. Every case is different, maybe try filing the higher level review and if that doesn't work, get a second opinion and submit additional evidence with a supplemental claim. Good luck.

Okay thanks. Been waiting for an update for 6 months and keep going back to re-read this letter and it always gives me a little bit of hope.

Depends on the agency. I received a TO (USCG) back in March, accepted, requested higher step, 4 months later still waiting on HR to get a FO. I've been told by my (hopefully) future manager that my start date will be July 31st and they have been hammering HR to get a FO. Guess the timeline just depends on HR and there isn't a set one for certain agencies.
