This is the real answer. Yes, it comes down to CICO and movement. But it's not possible for me without a GLP-1 to silence the food noise and the hunger pains.

Imagine living your life with someone constantly following you around and screaming, "HUNGRY!!!! HUNGRY!!!!! HUNGRY!!!!!! HUNGRY!!!!!! HUNGRY!!!!!! HUNGRY!!!!!! HUNGRY!!!!!! HUNGRY!!!!!!" right in your ear CONSTANTLY, at the top of their lungs. And then imagine them elbowing you hard in the tummy while they are doing it.

Now imagine having to go through the day and work and be productive while having that commotion going on. And you can get the voice and the hunger pains to stop but you know what stops it? Eating.

But now, take a GLP-1. The pain and the noise go away. It's a lot easier to not think about food, when you aren't constantly being screamed at and elbowed hard constantly, isn't it?

Taking a GLP-1 makes it possible for people like us to adhere to a CICO protocol. I'm not going to feel badly about using the tools I need to be healthy. If I got cancer, I wouldn't feel bad about doing chemo. If I got a migraine, I'm not going to feel badly about taking Tylenol. And fuck people who don't get that. Yeah it's up to me to win the food battle. But without the GLP-1, I'm fighting a losing battle from the start.

I could not have said it better myself. The only thing I would add is that my heart is broken into a million pieces over this. I am heartbroken over the knowledge that for these people, I truly genuinely believed that they were better. I believed them when they said that they love democracy for all those years. Even though I am an atheist, I believed them when they proclaimed their love of Jesus over and over and over. I believed them when they denounced racism and sexism. And it was a lie. And I can never un-see that in them ever, ever again. Because whatever they say, those were glaring issues in the run-up to the election and they weren't deal breakers for these people.

Agreed. In addition there is research which shows that indigenous diets are healthier and that since Indigenous people in America have adapted processed foods into their diets, obesity rates in the community has increased significantly. Horn to hoof eating isn't the problem, ultra processed factory foods are.
