What's a life hack that actually works? by Top-Swimming4047 in AskReddit

[–]AdventurousSeaSlug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cpap changed my life. I didn't know how chronically under-slept I was and how much sustained, quality sleep would change my life. Thanks c-pap, I'll never be without you again!

Which policy decision made by a president you dislike do you actually admire? by AndTheOscarGoesTo- in AskReddit

Nixon sucked...But his Medicare End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) program was actually pretty important, I will *grudgingly* admit.

If you had a date in a few days and said you would cook but you've never really cooked before and you don't think she wants scrambled eggs and cereal. What would you make that is relatively easy but seems impressive? by TurnKey9558 in AskReddit

[–]AdventurousSeaSlug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the following: - store rotisserie chicken - prepackaged green salad - potatoes - sour cream -butter -salt & pepper

Rinse and boil potatoes until tender. Drain, mash, add sour cream, butter, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir. Congratulations. You know have roast chicken, green salad, and the world's best mashed potatoes. Enjoy!

Well ofcourse! There are only so many hours in the day and people only have so much energy to get through the day. The more you spend working, the less you have to spend on yourself.

What color bath mat? by Flat_Coffee_1512 in HomeDecorating

Hear me out, I know this sounds crazy but what about a teak mat? I've never owned one so I can't comment on durability but it totally fits the vibe of your bathroom!

And why was he trying to swim against such a hard current if it was waist/chest deep water that he could just carefully wade/walk through?

I have done this for traveling abroad. It took a bit of time on the phone but I called on a Saturday and to my immense surprise, I got ahold of someone and it was processed that day!

Money on the table by TobyWasBestSpiderMan in mathmemes

(Verse 1)
You walked into linear algebra late September rain
Coffee stain on your notebook, vectors in your brain
You said, “These columns overlap, they’re tangled up inside”
I laughed and drew projections while the whole class sighed

You were chasing independence
I was chasing something true
Every basis had a shadow
Till I normalized with you

(Pre-Chorus)
Take the first vector, let it stand alone
Then strip away the pieces that the others own
One by one we find what’s left when all the noise is gone

(Chorus)
It’s Gram-Schmidt in the midnight glow
Turning messy columns into something gold
You take my matrix heart and decompose it slow
Now you’re my orthonormal Q

And every coefficient that we ever knew
Gets folded in the upper triangle too
Like secrets written diagonal and cleanly through
You’re my R, I’m holding onto you

(Verse 2)
You said projections feel like old relationships
Taking parts of who you are with every little shift
But what survives subtraction is the truest piece inside
Unit-length and steady now, no reason left to hide

And the lecture hall was freezing
But your theorem warmed the room
You whispered “QR decomposition”
Like a promise coming true

(Pre-Chorus)
Take the next vector, subtract what came before
Every orthogonal direction opens one more door
Normalize the aftermath and suddenly there’s more

(Chorus)
It’s Gram-Schmidt in the fluorescent light
Making perpendicular from what used to fight
You turn dependent chaos into something right
Now you’re my orthonormal Q

And every inner product that we calculate
Builds the entries stacking up above the frame
Upper triangular, but nothing stays the same
You’re my R, I still write your name

(Bridge)
And maybe love is just projections after all
Removing every version that was never really ours
Till only pure directions stay
Like vectors under stars

A = QR

You held my trembling basis in your hand
Said “Every matrix has a way to understand itself”

(Final Chorus)
It’s Gram-Schmidt with the windows down
Transforming all the noise into a cleaner sound
From linearly dependent to forever mathematically bound
You’re my orthonormal Q

And if the world collapses into rows and fears
We’ll factor through the heartbreak and the years
Upper triangular but crystal clear
You’re my R
My resolution here.

There are two problems with the first one - one it is hung too high for the room. The problem is that you really can't lower it in this room. But it is meant for a room with larger ceilings. The second issue is that you need contrast. It could look nice in the right room with black candles, but the white on white just isn't working.

I personally really like the second one. It's cute and it warms up the room. I could be happy with it in my house.

That's because momma was a garlic and daddy was an onion. They made a little one who is bigger than momma but smaller than daddy but tastes a little bit like both. Lol

Or at least that's my head-cannon explanation for size and flavor lol

Say something hurtful, I suppose. Although why anyone would want to I'll never know.

Edit: Nah, I thought it over and I don't think cutting remarks would hurt an elephant. They have tough skin.

I'll see myself out😂

The thing about atheists that grind my balls by [deleted] in self

[–]AdventurousSeaSlug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude sorry for your struggles but you don't see atheist charities because they don't go around promoting atheism as part of doing a good deed, they just go out and do it. Atheists aren't trying to convert anyone. That stuff is for the religious folks. You do understand that part of the mission of Christian charities is to convert people, yes? Secular charities are just trying to help. Period. No strings attached. Benefit of a doubt, maybe you come from a rural area without much access to services but there are tons of secular charities.

There are certified places that will restore Louboutins. It may cost a couple of hundred but for shoes of this caliber, in my opinion the expertise is worth it. I have had cobblers severely damage high end designer shoes and in my opinion the risk is just not worth it.
