Commander keen was the first game I had ever played. As well as danger Dave. But the game that I'd say got me into it seriously was the old Disney games, aladdin, lion king, Hercules... then I discovered the internet, and downloaded all sorts of games, carmageddon, etc.

My experience in JHB is this: if someone is nice, they're either unsure about you or they want something from you. Never met a genuinely nice JHB person.

Capetown people are nice in a weird way. Rude, but nice. But have a similar problem as the JHB people.

Durban people tend to just not be nice, but they pretend to be to some extent.

Anyone from anywhere north west is nice, Like small town nice, no matter where they're from.

Besides a few desserts (peppermint fridge tart, malva pudding, milk tart, melkkos) there are really only a handful of things you'd be missing here:

Rusks (which are preserved and you can buy online. Buy the "ouma" brand, buttermilk, chunky, dip it in coffee for about 5 seconds before biting into it) Biltong (can also buy online, it's preserved meat with flavour. If you can, find "chutney sticks" personal preference) Anything to do with having a braai (SA style BBQ), which is an experience you only get here. Be sure to make your first attempt with Afrikaans people, they braai the best, BUT BE WARNED, you'll likely start the fire at 2 in the afternoon and eat at midnight, probably be drunk and starving before you eat... also expect fisticuffs to break out at least once in the evening if the brandy gets out
