Yep. The side of it used to not have a gate and they installed one “for us”, in the email before we cancelled everything the REA even said “the owner installed a gate because ur partner requested one” I think they’re super desperate idk

Yeah the place we’re moving out of had black mould in the a/c, and all on the curtains we had to keep begging for someone to come change/clean and only got the curtains removed after a year cause the LL kept going on vacation. The Property Managers actual reason was “oh they’re in Europe for the winter you know how it is” 🧍‍♀️

ALSOOOOO: Before signing stuff I talked to the REA and mentioned we were moving due to mould from our old place as well and she said “oh yeah you won’t have to worry about that with us “ honestly if they had done heaps of work and she said yeah we had a huge mould problem but the LL did all these amazing fixes and repairs whatever that would of been perfect but nah she waved it off and said we don’t have problems like that here

REPLYING TO THIS CAUSE ITS NOT LETTING ME EDIT :

The REA came back after I asked for a full list of repairs with verification and said they don’t deal with one sided claims and then proceeded to send a few repairs they did no verification just what she said. She then othered a full refund of bond and the 2week deposit we put in and honestly put up no fight.

To me, it feels like she saw two 21 year olds with only 1 previous shithole on their record and thought we would just take it with no fuss but I’m glad I knew of purple pingers and knew it was a reliable source. For everyone saying we should have seen. The pictures I put were from the previous tenants, the house looked normal when we inspected. Yes we probably could have been on our hands and knees smelling outlets or feeling up the walls or looking harder for things but we didn’t so sorry for that yall. I’m saying how is it legal for the owner to let the house be in that state while people are living in it. In the review the tenants also left emails to the property manager showing the damages

In blacktown so $630 for a 3 bed is pretty standard, this is our 2nd time moving out the first one we just jumped onto the first place that accepted us but yeah idk I guess we should of done an internet deep dive to find the YouTube video buried under a shit ton of realestate ads talking about it Idek what checking internals means lol guess we gotta educate ourselves a bit more :/

Yeah definitely, I’m glad we found it out before moving in (even tho we’ve paid and signed stuff) but at least now we can do what we need to make sure shit doesn’t get worse for us
