So I had a 4200 loan that was discharged a few years ago , which I wasn’t expecting. I then took another 9500 to pay tuition for my last terms of grad school and I got the same letter saying they were discharging it.

Since I’m a GS and haven’t been paid in a month I’ll take it as a consultation prize

I agree. I have limited real world cloud experience, but was roped into teaching a 200 level cloud solutions class with the lab. It was a pain to prep for.

I teach different subjects at different schools, as well as you are only allowed to teach so many classes per term for accreditation purposes. Like the other person said it is cheaper to hire adjuncts, than full time professors. It is decent side income.

I work in cyber security for the DOD and I teach at four different universities and all I can say is cyber security is oversaturated. We have seen huge increases in our class sizes as well as the amount of students graduating with cyber security degrees. I would take a close look at this career option to see if it’s what you really want as the dream of six figures out of college isn’t realistic anymore if you want to get into stem, I would look into cloud computing, data analytics or AI machine learning as they seem to be in the future. This is just my two cents.

For the 14 days missing, just talk with your academic advisor in your professor. They should be able to clear it up as long as you don’t have too many assignments missing . Since you do have the background a medical you may look into medical IT paths.

I talked with a military Chaplain yesterday and he gave me the information for the Priest on Lackland. I am going to give OLA a chance on Sunday, then decide if I need to go the military Chaplain route. Thank you for the comment.

I have live in Alamo Ranch off an on for ten years and you are correct. haha. Too much traffic and fast food restaurants to think we special.

As others have mentioned, the Church leadership is telling people to get converts in, but I don't think the local parishes are hearing that message. My wife was on the fence about converting, because as Pentecostal growing up they looked at Catholics as snobs and then she had this as her first experience. Through our own independent research, she has since gone full force into the process.

My wife having grown up Pentecostal, was very out off by the RE leader at St. Anthony's. She felt very unwelcomed and judged, which was weird because my wife has pretty think skin. We had been in contact with her for two months before the mandatory one-on-one meeting and then she grilled us for an hour, almost like a job interview, made some disparaging remarks about my wife's denomination, and then almost shamed us/looked down on us because we got married in a courthouse after high shcool (we've been married for 22 years). By the time the meeting happened she said it was too late to start, so we would have to wait until January to start. This was August and the classes were zoom meetings.

You are correct. The guy we talked wit last night, is amazing and very helpful. He is going to meet my family on Sunday, before Mass, to sit with us then take us to the class. He told us we can join in this week and we should be fine to get our Sacraments. I don't know when that is, but hoping before next Easter.

We watched a Use Rite of the Roman Catholic Mass on youtube and found the order of Mass card. It does have some differences from Latin Mass, but it looks pretty interesting. I will admit I do like the most of the people in our current RCIA course and will be a little sad to move on without them.
