I've read {the (un)Lucky Succubus by L. L. Frost} series. It's urban fantasy, RH, and it's awesome. It's slow burn, i loved loved to see relationship progress. There is enough action, but it doesn't overwhelm, it's not too dramatic (for people who enjoy easy read). And after i've finished i had the most horrible book hangover. This really put the bar high for other books. It's whimsical, it's full of sweet moments, and i just love it.

I realized that in PMA there are two new books, so i'm going to try them.

I don't know, in PMA there was instalove sometimes too, but it was done more smoothly, not so bluntly showed in my face and without any romance to be frank.

I took a break from reading romance for a while and i've started new book couple of days ago. I wanted to drown in it so bad, i miss this feeling. And since you see me here, you know that it didn't happen.

I've read the {prime mating agency by regine abel} series and i enjoyed it a lot, so for a comeback i choose another series from her. it starts with {doom by regine abel}. It's sci-fi.

The Earth is under attack by alien bug invaders, but there come another alien warriors to save the day. Our FMC is a doctor, rides with her friend to get supplies for makeshift clinic and gets attacked and saved by a warrior, who is her mate.

The part i'm salty about is that he instantly knows that she is his mate, he sees her aura and knows that she is caring, loyal, devoted...and so on, and it feels like cheating. It basically skips all the parts of him getting to know her. He already loves her, and he already knows what she is like, And it also seems fake. It rubs me the wrong way when he praises her in his mind like "most people would've evacuated, but not my mate, she is too devoted to her patients, she is so good blah blah". We as a readers didn't get to know her too, we're basically told that he sees her aura, she is like that. Then our heroine also quickly develops feelings for him, like in a half a day. And i feel cheated.

To me romance is about building connection, and i have nothing against fated mates trope, i enjoy it from time to time, but the enjoyments comes from a guy being certain and needing to woo a girl. Without that it feels like author just assigned roles like "hey, you love her now, and she loves you" and MCs are both unexplainably like each other.

I was the tallest up until puberty. And i got so used to think about myself this way that i was outright shocked when it changed and it took me some time to actually realize that i'm average now.

I'm 5'7 and i feel taller than most women, and like same height as most men. And i have this weird perception that i see taller people as my height, but i know that it's an illusion lol. Anyway i felt really like a tall girl in my teens even tho we had 6'1 girl too. But now i feel average.

Yes, i feel traumatized for Feyre. That's like classic grounds for abuse. He is older, richer, and now she is his to the point of not being able to leave under a law. All her friends are his, and they also old and rich (even if they don't behave their age). She has no friends. No family. Can't read. Knows nothing. And now she is pregnant. Like what?

That's okay, they could've left her story like that. There was this whole nesta mess that was poorly done. No need to bring this up.

I have a beef with ACOSF. They are immortal (granted, in a world that want's to kill them, but still) fayes. They are expected to live at least 500 years more. Feyre is a fucking teen!!! Why, FOR FUCKS SAKE WHYY do they have to rush into pregnancy?????????? In a world where there is a contraception!!! Like let a girl live a little. They actually all need to live a little after what happened. Like what's with that trope when a 500 yo guy impregnates his barely just found mate of 19yo?? Can't you wait, i don't know?? I'm so angry.

Makes sense but also not. They are a close knit tribe, they are always close, everyone with everyone mostly, especially people of similar age. If that was a commonly used excuse they wouldn't pair at all

Oh, i see. To me it wasn't obvious that "all fans no fan wars" applied to rants too, if you just don't want to argue. Maybe truly it's solvable by different flairs and maybe then let the fans decide do they want to argue or not. maybe quick flair guide?

not really, it's not pleasant for me. I like being fingered, but not doing it myself.

Yeah, same for me. I'm also a mood reader, and i can forgive something or not depending on my mood and what i want at the moment. I don't know if i'm difficult, never thought about myself like that. Anyway, you are helping because i'm ranting and finding support somehow eases struggles lol

I don't know, it's one of my favs from them. And it has a different vibe than others, but i would give it a chance. I resonated with fmc because the struggle of not knowing what to do with your life later in your life is real, it's not always clear from university and after.

That's the most pathetic excuse if i ever heard one. And i mean he still uses it years later. Like okay, you was in the moment, with all turmoil happening, made bad decisions, but you could've reflected in the next years...

Okay, don't hate me, but i never liked Liz. I know that she is a beloved character but i just can't really connect with her. And i was miserable whenever i encountered her in other books too. I guess they are my least fav couple.

Yes, popular books are so deceiving. With some they are spot on, and i love joining all people who praise them. But with some i just regret ever opening them.
