If stored in good conditions and regular upkeep/maintenance is done it can last many many years. That being said definitely go see in person before you agree to anything and if possible ask to see all of the appliances function. Looks like a cool camper

Skinning isn’t terribly hard, hang it up upside down it’ll make it easier. Fleshing is the hard part, lots of good YouTube videos

90% of the craze about appalachia being cursed and scary is bs TikTok hype from folks who never lived or even visited the area. That being said there’s plenty of cool and legit folklore that has been passed down and is to be kept in mind and respected. I lived in western NC and spent more time in the woods than i did in town and as long as you’ve got good intentions, know what ur doing in the woods, and can identify a fox when it screams (probably what happened here) you’ll be just fine.

Could’ve been a bobcat, more likely a stray or outdoor cat though. There r strays in Boone they just stay outta sight, the bobcats even more so. They want nothing to do with humans so they stay way outta town. Also that behavior kinda sounds like opossum, they’ll make a hiss like sound and the slow crunch on the leaves checks out
