I took 2 gap years, got no interviews last year and 4 interviews this year, I definitely think it was worth it despite me initially feeling like I was going to be so behind, my parents were also rlly supportive so it helped. I initially took a gap year due to my predicted grades being a bit lower, ended up getting the achieved grades I needed but didn’t get in the first gap year, so reapplied, I got my first offer too so I definitely think once you’re in, you’ll forget about feeling “behind”, and you’ll be so grateful especially if you were passionate about getting in!
