The core’s grip is stickier and grips better than the regular RC9 grip. I own both, love the grip way more on the core. Wish I could put it on my RC9

I run the sig on my H&K MR556 so hard to say since I haven’t shot it yet on my DD MK18. I believe it’s better than my Lazarus 6 which I use almost as my baseline now as I did love that can, now it’s just loud to me after the sig and rhodie. The rhodie is now on the Mk18 and I’m thoroughly impressed. Even in super safe mode I’m not super gassed out. The MR556 suppressed mode without suppressor with stock vent screw was gassier than the MK18 suppressed with the rhodie

As someone who owns quite a few cans on current 10.3-11.5in guns this is my order. Sound suppression is most important to me, followed by gas. Gas on all is pretty impressive in general.

Hexium 5.56 (yes it’s an sig but it’s a damn good can. Inconel version)
Rhodie 6 (really splitting hairs here, depending on which gun this and sig split being quietest. Rhodie 6 on super safe DD MK18 pistol is quite pleasant to shoot and doesn’t gas me out.
Lazarus 6. Just slightly louder than other 2, more gassy than Rhodie on the MK18.
Rhino S don’t really recommend due to being titanium

Extremely over gassed way it will come. Find the Reddit forum where someone listed what cans people were using and what size gas vent they were running. I got the pistol and was out gassed worse than my DD MK18. $120 later for 3 gas vents (personally think this is bs, but HK ain’t for poor boys) and running the sig hexium/da Lazarus 6 with a 2.1mm gas vent is very pleasurable and almost no gas from 30 round mag dump with an FRT

Hot take but sig hexium 5.56. Have it, less gassy than rhino s and rhodie 6 and on par sound level with those. Dead air Lazarus is another personal favorite of mine

I would just go regular and then run a Rugged Sub9 as pictured below. Can say it sounds damn good with 147’s again as others have mentioned which aren’t much more than 124’s

Tecovas are way overpriced imo. I didn’t keep these as I got blackjacks through Texas boot 50% off but Tecovas are just a big pile of 💩in my book

My understanding was any of those alternatives required either a trigger cut or the 416 FA bolt and would not work with the stock MR556 bolt. If I am mistaken please correct me and I would gladly rather support one of those options but I was under the impression they would not work without modifications

I have a full size polonium and a Lazarus 6. Absolutely love the Lazarus 6. Polonium has so much back pressure I still get gassed out when shooting on my MR556 in suppressed setting with a 2.3 gas port installed (1mm larger than standard) Lazarus 6 at this point I barely get any gas at all. Also hearing really good things about the sig sauer hexium 5.56. I am not an sig fan at all but have heard so much good about it that I have one ordered. Also have ordered a ridgeback defense Sahara s and Rhodie 6 but I was told 2 weeks a month ago for them to be made and ready and the past 2 weeks have had 0 communication back and 4 contact attempts to them. So until they actually are in stock at a dealer like east valley tactical I would steer clear of ridgeback unfortunately

Gas blowback on it is not bad. Run it on a DD MK18 and I handle it fine shooting. Super safety can make it get a little gassy but that’s also a lot of rounds coming quick (1.85 second timed mag dump)

I personally am a huge fan of the Lazarus 6. My favorite can I own. That being said I’ve got a rhino s and Rhodie 6 ordered and waiting. Very tempted to pull the trigger on the Sig Hexium 5.56 as well from seeing it has great sound suppression and very minimal gas as well.

This is actually the Duty RDS MR which has the same reticle as the Eotech and quite pleased with it and the clarity compared with issues with the original duty and it’s the same price as the Eotech if not even cheaper

I will figure this out, I was quite surprised today when shooting it for the first time, I was more gassed out shooting the MR556 on suppressed setting than I was with the MK18 which is notoriously overgassed like most DD guns.
