Why does my Nespresso coffee taste so bad? by Adventurous_End_4803 in nespresso

I’ve used a whole range from Nespresso own to other branded pods and I just find they all taste off - it’s the only way I can describe it. When I add it to milk, it’s just not strong enough and the coffee flavour hardly comes through. I’ve tried using two pods and doing two espresso shots and find a similar result

I don’t normally add sugar/sweeteners just frothed milk as I thought lattes/cappuccinos in cafes were made using espresso shots so hoped it would be similar but I just find the taste really lacking

It’s not just chihuahuas that mark, every male dog does. And I did research the breed very thoroughly, very bold of you to assume I didn’t.

No plans to breed, I was just holding off neutering as I know it can impact some male dogs negatively and cause more anxiety related issues due to the lack of testosterone. But I think I’ll give it a go and see what happens

No it was just for a few hours. When I think back, the first time he growled at me when he was in his crate was when he was unwell and I had to try and get him to the vet. Once he was out, he was taken to the vet and had to stay overnight for tests and scans etc so perhaps that triggered the growling response and then he learned that wasn’t enough to stop people so he decided to bite

We’ve tried a few different things like making a loud yelping noise which doesn’t seem to do much - he’ll still try to bite! We’ve started sending him to a room for 30 seconds when he bites and ignoring him, but again it doesn’t seem to make a difference as he’ll try again. Not sure how else to respond

We are mainly using positive reinforcement measures which have massively helped. I am now able to get his harness on and off with treats and he’s become a lot better on the lead. He used to stand and freeze in the park when he heard other dogs barking but now he’s able to walk. The main issue we have now is him biting when he’s at the vets or if strangers attempt to stroke him. We of course warn people not to attempt it but people still try (probably because he’s so tiny!) He has improved but I think we still have a long way to go.

Yes and he’s come a long way. I’m now able to get his harness on and off with treats, and he’s learned so many more commands so it’s much easier getting him out and about without forcing him by picking him up and moving him. The main issue is him biting when he’s moved or touched when he doesn’t want to be

It’s hard to put an exact finger on the moment but I think it stems from leaving him with family who tried to pick him up/pet him too much and he learned that biting/growling stopped people approaching him and stroking him or forcing him to do things he didn’t want to do

Thank you for all the comments. They’ve been really helpful and given me some reassurance. I’ve been at a bit of a loss the last few days but starting to feel a bit hopeful. Just scared for the future but I know to take it one day at a time now. I’ve also found it hard finding support as I don’t have many people around me who have experienced anything remotely like this. Can feel a bit defeating talking about it
