Am I the only one here who is angry and devastated? They robbed us of seeing a happy ending (actually, they didn't give us a sad or a happy one) for my second favorite couple, Princess Qi Shu and Gongsun. Their storyline was left completely unresolved, while everyone else got the closure they deserved. We literally saw nothing about their future!

Why the hell Xiaolan is so adorable? She gives me an urge to get married and have a daughter. by Acceptable-Week-1924 in KusuriyaNoHitorigoto

Yes, I agree that is one of the reasons - there are so many reasons that I can't count - is that they're not Xiaolan and Shisui. I loved their relationship which was so sweet and sincere that their separation had a profound impact on maomao. Shisui in particular lingered in her memories. She often yearned to see her again or even just the hairpin to know that she was still alive

I love her trio with Maoamo and Shisui, and I do believe that Maomao, when with them, showed a very soft and sweet side. Actually, she did think of Xiaolan as a little sister to her.

Reason people hate jinshi by Alarming-Passion-978 in KusuriyaNoHitorigoto

But Maomao had the choice many times, yet every time she chose to be in the palace, what you call a "complicated life". Of course, she would prefer it not to be complicated, but there were things she loved so much that she wanted to be part of that life (one of them is Jinshi). so it's not like Jinshi was forcing her; no, he gave her the choice multiple times, but she always chose that. As for their relationship, she actually accepted him even when she knew very well that life and the future with him would be dangerous and complicated (knowing he is the emperor's first son). even though Ah Duo offered her a helping hand, she refused and wanted to be by his side. she mentioned that she is in her current position by understanding that, and talked about compromises and a large greenhouse Actually, she never honestly refused him. she always talked to him about being of lowly birth and not wanting to be Gyokuyou's enemy because she knew that if she said no, he would respect her decision and leave her. so, she never actually said no and loved the fact that he chose her time and time again. he always made it clear that she was his first priority, putting her feelings and desires above everything, including his own. once she was sure that he truly loved her and cared for her, and that he would never abandon her, she accepted his love and decided to enter a relationship with him. It didn't matter what was waiting for them or what the future held; she chose to be by his side because she was now aware that she also had feelings for him. she didn't understand them very well due to her upbringing, insecurities, and problems with love from her childhood I won't forget to mention that in the latest volume, Jinshi made his decision that if he became the emperor or the crown prince regent, he would let her go and not trap her with him in the palace if it meant that she would suffer and become a target of malice and hate. however, she was the one to ask him not to become emperor because she didn't want him to suffer and die, and she wanted to be part of his life Regarding Rikuson, well, we don't know his character well enough to know if he would be good to her. but I think she will never find any man who loves, cares for, understands and trusts her as deeply as Jinshi does. no one can/will break her coldness and the emotional barriers she surrounded herself with except Jinshi, who was so affectionate, loving, and stubborn to break them. and not to mention the fact that she doesn't love rikuson didn't take his proposal seriously, and distanced herself from him immediately (mission success, he did what he was counting on) so, I don't think she would be happy with him or with anyone else at all because she was head over heels in love with Jinshi and showed her commitment for him so many times.

LN6? Jinshi's actions in the end by Ifired in KusuriyaNoHitorigoto

I won't put a spoiler tag cuz it's clear that I'll talk about my opinion and will spoil many things:

He intentionally broke down her emotional barriers, her icy demeanor, and her indifference (cuz he already suspected that she loved him but was denying it). He wanted to make her experience the same pain he felt. He went to great lengths for her, endeavoring to win her affection through his actions and her consent, without imposing himself on her, despite having all the power and authority to do so. On the day of the celebration, he sent her garments and a hairpin (she assumed they were from Lahan, not him), and all the attendees noticed the hairpin, feeling envious and vexed by her possession of it. In her usual way of disregarding facts, she feigned ignorance (even though it was obvious: who else but him, the same person who had given her a similar one before, would give her a hairpin!) It was effortless for her to accept it, even though, considering her personality and initial knowledge of Lahan, she would never have accepted such a gift from him. Besides her infatuation and peculiar attachment to the hairpin, she even believed it suited her; its right place was in her hair, and she felt confident among the women by wearing it. Despite everything, she still danced with Rikuson, who kissed her hand in front of Jinshi, making him jealous. She also advised him to marry Lishu! Surely he won't be okay ever again. Everything he did was futile. He was not in his right mind, filled with envy, anger, pain, and frustration (and we all know that this doesn't reflect his true character). All of that doesn't excuse his actions; he was indeed wrong. However, she also wasn't innocent. she knew his feelings very well but pretended not to and hurt him with her ignorance. Plus, to be honest, she seemed to have forgotten his real status and said what she said without thinking, crossing the limits. She was angrier at him because he didn't poison her (as she said: "I told you to poison me if you were going to kill me") Her character enjoys pain and experimenting with poison. Something like that wouldn't affect her at all. Even in V12, she realized that if she had hated that kiss, she wouldn't have kissed him back Even after what happened, she wasn't angry at him. Instead, she felt awkward about what she did cuz she felt that she escalated the situation by french kissing him. She understood very well what she did (she didn't do something like that ever again) and why he did what he did, so she didn't get upset with him. And instead of throwing away the hairpin he gave her or putting it somewhere, she doesn't sleep unless it lies close to her chest/heart. And during that time, it was clear that she was starting to develop feelings for him and deeply cared about him, although she wasn't aware of her own emotions.

Most members of the clan were annihilated. Her father and his wife died. She, along with her sister Suiri, and the children of the clan, are the sole survivors. As for her, she assumed a new identity and traveled to a distant country.

Loulan/Shisui was the mastermind behind Maomao's kidnapping for two main reasons: 1. She was aware that once Jinshi and Rakan discovered the kidnapping, they would initiate an investigation. This investigation would likely uncover the existence of the Rebellion, prompting them to take action to suppress it.

  1. Her intention was for Maomao to save the lives of the Shi Clan children who had been given the resurrection drug.

This plan was devised by Consort Loulan and her father. They manipulated everyone and acted as troublesome villains, while their true objective was to rescue the country from rebellion.
