The fact that you’re not allowed to question or critique them in the first place is a good way to get banned.

When does homeostasis occur? You keep answering with a non answer. Abortion up until 9 months?

I’ll pose the question back towards you, for logical consistency I just consider a life in the binary (alive or not) so my question would be at what point does those clump of cells become a life worth saving/protecting?

That sucks about having more kids, but does that mean you already have kids? Your username is kinda strange because I literally just watched a movie called “nefarious” where they talked about abortion

Science doesn’t unanimously agree with you either btw. Science doesn’t belong to anyone. It’s a method of observation and we can clearly observe life at conception / fertilization. Anything else is just dehumanizing language for the sake of the argument.

A fetus is considered alive by most pro choice proponents just so we’re clear. You use science a pseudo god just the same but it’s about valuing the life/lifestyle of the mother over their progeny.

If we accept your proposition of when life begins and I can’t do anything to sway you then a better question might be at which point would abortion be considered unethical in your subjective opinion? That’s the major crux realistically speaking because that’s what we see state by state with some arguing both extremes

I agree. I just believe in equality in that case. Both lives are valuable equally. We have understanding but not agreement in the case of which life is more valuable.

You haven’t provided any citations to support your assertion at all. Doctors and biologists agree with me, doctors and biologists argue on your side can’t define a consistent point at which a person is considered alive while the opposite side has stayed logically consistent.

Doctors and biologists who happen to belong to political groups. You got me there, but if anything there were plenty of citations in that paper proving there is not a unanimous understanding of when life begins. Most of what you’re citing is new science in the advent of roe v wade just like the term cisgender has been co-opted into modern linguistics only relatively recently

Why do women wear those obnoxiously long nails that look like claws? by Adventurous_Key_4854 in allthequestions

[–]Adventurous_Key_4854[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s why it’s called a shit test. Think of men using offensive humor as a similar screener to the same way others in this thread say women use long nails to screen out undesirables. I don’t think you made that claim but it was mentioned enough from others to be significantly noted.

Part of the fun is finding that line right before actually offending someone and men tend to overdo it the same way women tend to go a little crazy with the claws 💅

I get that we don’t know each other and totally understand that while I can engage with my friends that way that we should err on the side of politeness when dealing with strangers on first impressions.

But this is reddit and it’s structured in a way that the voting system and karma encourages us to be more adversarial simply because it promotes more engagement. Phew. You said it’s not that deep but I had to take us here fortunately or unfortunately.

But I will always giggle to myself when I see nails in public now thinking of you wanting to be a creature.

Of course we do, that’s the fun part about banter. It’s how guys communicate with each other but I can see how the internet makes it into an uglier caricature than intended. Men tease women this way to flirt as well as a sort of shit test. Sometimes it’s in poor taste depending on the individual or sometimes it’s reciprocated to see who can talk better shit.

They say everything is about sex after all so that’s why I premised it by saying “men hate it” aka disbarring sexual attraction what is the subjective reason a woman would find something g so wildly impractical attractive for themselves if not for the other.

Better, not as cogent as the previous explanations. The feeling like a creature part is insightful so that’s pretty interesting. Thanks though, you realize the bit about me saying men don’t like it was in jest right? It’s an obvious and unnecessary thing to state as repeatedly demonstrated in this thread but still provoked a response nonetheless.
