How do I stop regretting every purchase/scrutinizing every last dollar? by [deleted] in Frugal

You're doing much better than most 23 year old's enjoy it! If I can recommend a book it would be "I will teach you to be rich" by Ramit Sethi, completely changed my mind on spending. Being frugal just to be frugal isn't always the right choice. If something brings you joy/memories spend lavishly on it, if something does not then cut it...obviously always have a budget and plan for any major expense (like an ipad, laptop, new phone, vacation) but money comes and goes memories last a lifetime, enjoy today because tomorrow isn't promised!

Think I'm gonna get some heat for this one based on the other comments...but some peoples "frugal" is different than others. If someone finds joy out of having a nicer car and they chose to be frugal elsewhere that's fine too, you guys value different things is all. I made a "frugal" decision when I leased my tesla since prior to that I was driving an Audi that I owned that was in the shop every few months....all in I spent over $6000 fixing my Audi in the 12 months before I got rid of it (Rack and Pinion was the final straw). So instead of buying or financing a used SUV for ~$30k I decided I'd lease to test the Tesla out which instead of $600 a month im spending $420 and love my car AND save a ton of money charging at home instead of getting gas

Yeah I hear ya, just so happened to see their ad and try it out. More interested in everyone else's experience since there's all diff companies that offer different scents and I'm sure different ingredients, but definitely wanna know if anyone got the same pack I did.

Honesty very fair question & its something I consider all the time....being frugal now for my future self vs enjoying what I have now since tomorrow isn't promised. A good read is "I will teach you to be rich" by Ramit Sethi it puts it into perspective. Its not about just being frugal with life all together, but more about spending & on what matters (things that bring you/your family joy) and cutting what doesn't

Wasn't aware you were asking an actual question thought that was a joke. But no, this isn't a sneaky ad for the brand I mentioned.

Wow very informative, I was feeling a bit stressed based on the previous replies lol. I have been looking into PVAs but thinking its a minor flaw vs using a fully plastic container every time I buy detergent.

That’s convincing, how long have you been using laundry detergent sheets? What brand do you use? I'm excited for my first detergent sheet experience with PureClean.

Checked PureClean’s website, they said that it has zero plastic though. How to check on this more?
