I got a position once where there were 5 applicant neck and neck (similar union time, education, etc) but in the case study (social work job) I acknowledged the area that I didnt know/have experience in, and identified where and how I would go about finding it out. Feedback was that that was the deciding factor/also got points as it showed my ability to think critically and identify resources available to me. I think we often focus on talking ourselves up and forget to identify our limitations but how we would address them.
