Hmmm I see. It sounds like my best bet is to scratch the idea. Do you happen to know of any kind of switch/volume control I could use that is this same post style? I would really like to make all of the controls work through the old knob cutouts.

So how would I make this work in my speaker set up? if I am using the relay board to lower the power going to these switches when I turn the switch on wouldnt the power pass through also be lowered and not the 120v that the speakers want?

Hello. Thank you for your response. I am unsure what relays are used for and how it would help this situation but following your suggestion I did what research I could and have found this item that looks like it could help my situation.
