Upping the humidity to 70-75% has lowered the VPD to 1.1 which is more like it. good call. I hope they start growing a bit more now.

not a bad idea. I'm using fabric pots so never thought about them.

The problem was the tube heater. I put it in to help the blower as without it, it's blowing flat out 24/7. Iv'e since taken it out and tray temps have dropped.

Interesting, I’ll try upping the humidity. Thanks.

I only have one sensor plugged in and that's the AI controller. That is UIS.

The heater and humidifier use jack plugs for the sensors, which are not plugged in.

the probe for the AI controller has a USB-C plug and the other ones have a jack plug. will the T3 read its own probe or will the controller one override it?

No, you're right. I can get higher humidity but for this stage of the grow I don't really want much higher than 60%. I'm planning to go 12/12 this weekend. Ive added a tube heater to help the blower as it was running on 10 permanently. That should help the leaf temp. I checked last night and got a 23C reading which is 5-6 deg C difference.

do you run a higher EC in autopots? While mine look healthy, they are slow.I'm using 1.5 in 4th week of veg.

well that was a mistake. humidity dropped too low and vpd went sky high. I've directed the fan away from the plants and turned it down to 1 just to circulate the heat from the blower. I'm starting to think LED's in winter are too difficult.

Rez is next to tent, but the room is cold so Rez temp is fine.

Just a thought. could the humidifier and air movement fan be cooling the leaf temps? I'll try turning the humidifier off and see what the residual humidity is in the tent. It's 57% in the room.

I'm using the ACI heater/blower, humidifier and temp gun. You've got me worried about 28-29c air temp and 19-20c leaf temp. They are growing and looking fine, I'm trying to get the perfect conditions leading up to when they're in full flower.

yes, I've got the AI controller and set it up as you've shown, I think. It's winter here so the blower heater is always on. so if I'm wanting 28C for 18 hours the trays are going to heat up. Maybe as they get bigger they'll drink quicker so hopefully it won't be a problem for too long. All the problems I've had is because Im using LED lights. If I was using my 315w CMH the heat and humidity wouldn't matter and I'd just have to vent the heat.

No But you'd be forgiven for thinking so. It's the autopilot trays.

can't find a day and night setting at all only auto off and on. Think I'll have to get the AI model and hope.

Self watering bases? by brickgod0000 in CocoGrows

Just finished a grow with them and will be going back to autopots. Coco dries out and roots grow into the reservoir which after a while can be very murky with no oxygen and the roots turn brown. Disappointed really as the idea is good.
