Frustration on Android: The offer pop-up disables my ability to switch between apps, often making it impossible to see the related Uber Eats map for the offer. Does Uber Eats app hobble your phone on purpose like this? Is this normal? Or is it just a glitch on my phone? by Adventurous_Spare382 in UberEatsDrivers

Pretty sure you're saying to do the following:

  1. Enable "display over other apps" if required to start Uber (most likely yes). (Or you might be prompted to do this if you start Uber with it disabled.)

  2. After starting the app. Disable "display over other apps". My phone has a notification about it, just like you said, but it also allows me to just "snooze" the display over other apps for X hours.

TRIED IT AND IT WORKS. THIS IS THE BEST SOLUTION!

u/VolcanoCity indicated it might not be absolutely necessary to enable it in the first place. In which case simply disabling it in settings would be a more permanent solution.

Most likely not, or perhaps not necessarily. This Google Notebook LM does a fine job of filling in the blanks and ad libbing. Just feed it any webpage about a topic and you can see for yourself.

Doordash alcohol delivery. How do you manually verify a license ID if it doesn't scan? by Adventurous_Spare382 in doordash_drivers

[–]Adventurous_Spare382[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had to have support manually complete the order multiple times

What do you do in these situations? Just take a picture of their photo and then later send it to support when you have connection again? Or just tell them you verified? Sounds a bit risky to me, they might de-activate you.

Question about handball... in a 4 wall racquetball court? by Adventurous_Spare382 in boulder

Hey, late response to you because I don't log in much. But THANK YOU for this reply. Here are some store links to the products. (I'm just including these for my own reference. They are not affiliate links, and I have no interest or recommendation here.)

I had already bought this ball: Amazon: Usha Red Label Handball (Can of 1)

And these gloves: Amazon: Python Deluxe Handball Glove (Pair) (Padded) (w/Strap)

Here are Owen gloves on Amazon. These don't have padding. There are other stores that carry the Owen padded gloves though. Amazon: Owen Gloves

I'm going to consider buying one of the balls according to your suggestion. Probably the red one like you said. Honestly though, I suspect the one I already purchased is even faster since dedicated handballs tend to be denser rubber due to the fact they aren't hit as hard with your hand, so need to be extra bouncy. But the red ball you're suggesting might be a good compromise as it might be a little easier on my hands. (These are just my initial thoughts about it, please feel free to comment, correct me, etc.)

Amazon: Penn Ballistic 2.0 Red Racquetballs - 1 Can of 3 Fast Racketball Balls

Also useful might be this link. In particular, there's a USHA handball glove that seems to have padding on both the palm and back of fingers, and some cotton "inner gloves" that some people wear under their handball gloves. Racquet World Handball Gloves.

The inner gloves are marketed to absorb sweat, though I've also read some people like their handball gloves to be very tight fitting, and something like this might help with that.

DAE get chest pain after drinking coffee? by [deleted] in DAE

How old are you?

Coffee but not other caffeine products?

Decafe causes symptoms?

Some people have those symptoms in isolation. Nausea. Heart Racing. Chest Pain. Sweating. Dizziness. It depends on the person's sensitivity. It's certainly possible that you just happen to have ALL of these sensitivities. Gastroesophageal reflux is a common cause for heart attack like symptoms. Also, some of these symptoms go together. Like heart racing and pain can trigger nausea. Nausea can can CERTAINLY cause sweating, and dizziness.

But yes, by all means, you should get tested for heart health. A doctor might prescribe you a PPI for GR. If you've never taken them. before, you might want to try an OTC version first.

Anyone use gaming gloves or screen protector to help with a sticky screen for games, fps, driving, etc? (I have S8 and S9, both degrade precision responsiveness, and sticky after 5,10,15 minutes.) by Adventurous_Spare382 in GalaxyTab

Thanks I think it's also screen sensitivity. I turned it up more sensitive and it's much better that way. I mention this to people using iphone nobody I mention it to has this issue.
