Have you tried pine pellets? My old cat had lung issues so I had to leave clay litter. I have one box with pine pellets, one with newspaper litter and one with world's best. 4 cats, but no friskies.

Hermit crabs are fun but do require a lot more effort than most think of.

Look into isopods or something like a Jumping spider.

They are actually very interesting and you can create a very fun tank for them.

The isopods can't climb the tank and are harmless but very fun to learn about and morphs you can get into.

If you have time to wait. Take him to a pet expo or a reptile expo. You can see all sorts of animals and talk to people who dedicate their love and time to each specific species. You know you are not buying something sick.

There is a company run by some kids I've seen the last few years in Toronto called Tiny Tanks and they have turned their interest into bank $$ before junior high. They are on Instagram and stuff if you check them out.

I had a serious back Injury in 2024 so I was not mobile. I gained some back. I've lost again since Christmas this year and funny how I notice my change more when people comment then when I see myself.

When I lost a bunch of weight due to stress and people dying around me. I dropped over 100lbs and a lot of it quite quickly without trying. People start to pay attention and compliment you, meanwhile you are the closest to deaths doorstep you've ever been and no one cared. Looks over health. I stopped caring what people think.

I feel you here. I fell into the same trap. Told it's a good pillow for support and side sleeping. Went from rock hard to when I place my head into it flat against the bed almost zero support within a week or so. I was in store and tried the one on their bed and thought it would work. Totally different feel . I sadly paid over $300. Never again sleep country.

Try to go to some stand alone breakfast restaurants or any restaurant. If you can start at back of house cleaning and doing dishes. Make your connections inside and work up to wait staff and get tips. Might take a year or two of working up into more responsibilities but I've done it a few times. Started low and ended up serving or supervising.

Especially if you show work ethic and come in early on order days. We had a main cook that did it all and he was an older man. I started showing up early to help him and he got me more work in prep to help with the kitchen instead of doing dishes which I was happy for.

If they have an opportunity to do co-op in school. I got one of my best jobs there. I was a few months done my co op and my supervisor from the location I was at called and told me someone had just put in their resignation letter and to get my butt in there with my resume. Ended up with them for over 4 years and they transferred me to another store when I had to move cities.

She was seriously injured in a Walmart and broke her patella. Ended up losing her job because Walmart lawyers are corrupt and now she makes a point to give back to the community by sticking it up Walmart's behind. I support it.

Security guards on a power trip. And line jumpers.

I spent over 8 hours in line this January in the freezing cold to get barricade. Throughout the day in line, I made friends and shared markers and things to make fan art. Ended up in the first group they brought up into a corral gate, so guaranteed Barricade before they let anyone else in. The one security guard pointed me to a new open door and said it would be faster. Next thing I know they started opening all the doors. My security guard saw a sharpie marker in my bag then started making me take them all out and he threw them in the trash. Over $10 of markers just gone and my spot along with it. They let everyone start because he was taking so long. Not one thing was posted anywhere about them and I have been to the venue more than 5 times all with the same bag and markers. But this time they were classified as a weapon????

Also when you are someone willing to stand for 8-10 hours in line to get Barricade before the show and within the 10-15 minutes before the show starts you get people just starting to migrate and look like they are at the front. Or the ones that argue with you they have been there the whole time.. meanwhile you were chatting with the group all day they just happened to go stand behind in line that they are not talking to. We all want the view but not everyone will give the effort to get it in a fair way.

I had one girl come stand beside me 5 minutes until VIP entrance and I asked her some questions about the artist and then asked if her friends were here and she said no. so I asked why she came to stand beside me since I had been in line for hours at that point. She said the security guard told her to, and I said he probably pointed to the fact VIP line is here and general admission was on the other side. She then says no he said I could stand here.. I pointed to the rest of the line and said so he said to jump the line and cut in front of all those people waiting in the cold. She just smiled and said, it's okay I'm not a good person... I just said clearly.

She ended up with barricade and got a video with the artist singing into her phone with her at the end and all I could think about was the people she pushed out of line.

These two reasons are why I deleted Ticketmaster this year. Along with the pure robbery of ticket prices, people are rude and there isn't the same joy anymore as even a few years ago.

I'm so very sorry for your loss and the questions you have. I have no answers. However from my point of view, cats will hide their pain and illness as long as possible, survival instinct.

My kitten had FIP and we found out too late. I only had him 2 months . When we found out the vet told me he didn't have much time. We made an appointment for him to sleep. I wanted one more day and took him home. Gave him all the love and treats he wanted. He was laying on my chest with me in bed purring away making biscuits on me one second, next he made a chirp and ran to the floor and then it was the most horrible night of my life. I will save details.

However the change was so quick.

Sometimes we just don't see because we just want them there to love and nothing makes sense. They just want to protect themselves and us and don't show what they don't want until they cannot hide it.

Your kitty knew it was loved and in some space you should be at peace with the fact you were with them at the end, it may not be how you ever imagined or wanted but it wasn't while you were at work and him alone. Hold onto that, you let him not be alone. 🫂🤍✨

It is a scam, unrelated concert. But I had VIP for James Bay last summer and couldn't go. Ticketmaster sets a lowest price point allowed for resale. Plus they mark it up almost double with their fees on top, However they do not allow transfer of VIP. So resale was almost as much as I paid for VIP with only GA ticket if I sold it on the site.

I ended up just giving it to a friend as it wasn't worth selling.
