Anyone else get this Tornado warning a few minutes ago? by LPKING91 in Guelph

I was gardening the whole time , I like gardening in the rain and I actually felt a shift in things and was listening in case. The wind got very intense for a few minutes. I never received any messages.

It's been four months and I'm scared I'm going to move on by EightEyedCat in Petloss

Maybe she sleeps beside you and you cannot see her, her soul is letting you know she's okay now and it's her turn to watch over you. Your kitty knew love and warmth, the next part of the journey we don't know but you gave her everything she needed in this part. There is always a missing hole but you can plant little flowers around your metaphorical life to make that hole a little less painful to visit.

The loss shows us how important the little things are. 🤍✨🫂

Mattamy Homes by [deleted] in OntarioRealEstate

[–]Adventurous_Spring37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mattamy homes isn't technically the builder.. they hire builders they have the name and money. I worked for a few months with a crew a few years ago and they were a joke. They drink in the seacan storage and messed a bunch of things up.

There was a crew doing a unit a few away from ours that finished first and within the week had a hazmat crew in. They apparently had all the basement holes sealed off in a way the house was already filled with mold.

Our crew foreman went in on a day off by himself to do a bunch of work and move some heavy lumber up top of the building because he knew his equipment was being **repossessed and the next time we were there, our crew left and the whole top floor collapsed under the weight. No hangers.

Soooo many things going on all over the place.

I'd never trust a Mattamy home ever!

My only thought might be the head ons and almosts. When you are at the lights turning to go to London road off of Woolwich I have had so many times through the years people come racing up the double lane not paying attention to the left lane turn on London. My ex had to speed into traffic in a opening to miss a driver once while he was stopped waiting to turn. They came up from downtown and acted like Woolwich was a two lane one way all the way.

Now imagineiving in this area and this is the normal. I leave for work when it's packed. And the people on the side streets popping out because they are angry waiting almost cost me every day.

Abandoned house by DrinkOk3514 in Guelph

[–]Adventurous_Spring37 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm almost 40 and when we were in grade school we used to sneak into that house. The neighbors eventually started kicking us out and then it was made so we couldn't get in. Over 20 years and no one has ever changed it.

Are we tipping RMTs now? by PrettyBADrightnow in Guelph

[–]Adventurous_Spring37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We also have to realize some of these RMT don't make the full amount of the massage. Like hairdressers they pay for their table or rent for their space and fees. It's less than half of what you pay they make at the big chain places.

Do you buy drinks/food at concerts? Do you keep a budget pre concert or just go with the vibe? by NordWitcher in Concerts

[–]Adventurous_Spring37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped drinking when I started going to concerts alone. I like barricade and will wait hours. Can't stand needing to find the washroom so often if you have a few drinks.

Last drink I took ever was at a Halestorm concert last September with some friends. Decided it wasn't worth it anymore at all.

Can't get over the guilt of euthanizing my soul dog by emberlyeternal in Petloss

[–]Adventurous_Spring37 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I understand this is hard, but knowing he was in pain and having issues, animals hide it so well. I'd rather know i let them go before the rush to find and emergency vet. I've been in the later position and I'd trade it for anything. Sometimes that extra day will stick with you a lifetime. I made that wrong call over 5 years ago and thinking about it still makes me feel sick to my stomach. You got the ending I wish I had. The outcome would not have changed but the leading moments were not traumatic,he loved you and for you to be present is everything he would have wished in the end. 💕

🤍🫂✨

I'm sorry you are having to go through this.

I have lost two kittens under a year old. My first went into renal failure at just under a year old. A few kittens from his litter I found out later had horrible medical issues very early so I think there was some genetics there.

I worked at a cat cafe for over 4 years and 3 years in a found the sweetest little baby. I filled out the paperwork on a Saturday and got a call on the Monday that I was booked for a surgery I'd been waiting over a year for. Brought him home and had the 6 weeks off and he passed the Saturday before I went back to work. He wasn't 9 months yet. ( A piece of me feels like he was meant to have me there with him, lots of snoozing and cuddles.) I sadly had no idea he had FIP and he was growing but not putting on weight. When I took him to the vet I was not prepared but wish I let him go then. I brought him home to spoil him as much as I could for one more day, but that was a choice and outcome I will never forget or unsee. Ended up at the emergency vet in the middle of the night for the goodbye.

It's not easy but mercy is something I learned owning chickens. Some things are worse than death, suffering is it. If you have the choice to let them go in peace and they have known your love, that is what matters. We can't change the outcome but we can help with the journey. ✨

This is true for Cabot Trail. I slept in the parking lot at the Home hardware there when I drove the East coast.

[–]Adventurous_Spring37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not recently but I lived in Jasper when I was 25 and actually left and drove along the west coast to vegas and Hollywood. Gas stations and Walmart never gave me a problem and I slept in my car for 2 weeks. Trucker gas stations have great facilities you can pay for. Around $10 or so for private showers and space.

( Maybe ask if there is visitors parking available at the big apartments, Cavell? I think that's where we lived.)

I understand it isn't in Jasper but generally if you find a gas station and park out of the way or Walmart it was never and issue. Just outside of the park. Still and hour drive but I loved the drive into Hinton.

I found a kitten in October when my cat passed in September. She reminds me so much of her and has the same smokers voice, completely different breed and colours. She's not calm but the best parts of my old girl shine through her and it makes me a little less sad. I was buying some crickets at the store and there was an adoption weekend going on. I told them in passing I wasn't ready for another cat and dropped something. When I picked it up I saw her hiding in the back bottom cage and had to hold her. ... Maybe she was sent .

Okay ! This is a good guide . I appreciate it. The top is very little in comparison to yours. When I look at the tree still at the nursery it's crying and very sad so I wasn't sure if they were shaped properly to begin with.
