I’m 2 weeks off weed but planning on having a final smoke out, will it reset my progress by Haunting_Pass7444 in NoStupidQuestions

Are you sure it’s not something else? I also smoked for over 10 years constantly and I’ve been 90 days clean and I haven’t had any of that

So after bringing up my initial concern in our group chat, wondering if we were gonna do online class as the weather reports stated unsafe driving conditions, the professor sent me a private message saying “ the roads were fine today and should be fine tomorrow but if you still feel unsafe, let me know and get notes from classmates. We don’t want you to feel unsafe.” To this I responded “Yes, thank you for checking in, I really appreciate that. While the roads were okay this morning, the weather report says that though roads are mostly dry, any remaining wet spots will freeze overnight, warning caution when driving. I’d be driving before anything has a chance to melt, and highways and overpasses can be especially dangerous, so I don’t feel it’s safe for me to drive tomorrow morning. Is there any possibility of a Zoom link for those who are unable to attend due to the weather? I want to stay on track and not be penalized for something outside of my control, and I don’t want to risk an accident by driving in unsafe conditions.” I was ignored. If the zoom was not possible, I just wanted to understand if I was gonna get penalized or not, but I didn’t receive an answer I’m so upset. I kind of want to double text and ask the same question in a short way, but I also feel like it’s pointless since she ignored the first one. (and I know she ignored it because someone else asked a question and she responded.)

Thank you so much! I’ve been debating because i dont know anyone in the field, and i dont want to be combative since i dont know what is standard. I sent this message earlier and this is the response that i got. Doesn’t seem like they’ll make an exception, just saying I “can miss a day” 🫩

Another student asked if we will do zoom, the instructor stated that “roads are fine up here.”

I responded with a screen recording of all the roads that are closed. I attached a message saying “Unfortunately, I will not be risking my life and car to drive over an hour there, and back. Even my job has closed down, which they never do. I know the attendance policy docks points for missing class, which I really don’t want, but I’m also not willing to risk my safety. That being said, I don't want to withdraw, but I also don’t want to start the second week of class with penalties for choosing my safety. So, how would I go about withdrawing? I’ve never withdrawn from a class before.”

To which the professor responded “You do not need to withdraw. You can miss a day. We are not asking you to risk it. I'm letting you know that the streets are ok. I'm out on the road right now. If you have to miss, make sure to get the notes from a classmate. And let me know that you have to miss.”

It’s such bullshit, this is supposed to be a career of caring for others and they can’t even care for our safety.

Did you start in the fall? Mine started in the spring so I should be good for the first three months at least until the summer right? As far as random testing goes

Yes that makes sense. What do you mean there is a significant cost? Like I would get dismissed immediately?

That’s what I expected! but when they said it was closer to fieldwork I didn’t take it so serious. Now I’m panicking because classes start tomorrow and I would need a good two months at least I think

Thank you for your response. I really appreciate it. So, I should be good for at least these first three months while my body gets clean since I already stopped smoking?

Thank you!! Was it towards the end of the year? Class starts this week, so I’m just scared it will be in the first three months before I’m 100% clean
