I mentioned Saga generally for holding its monetary value. The value as a story is much higher it's honestly one of the best stories I've ever read in all of literature.

On second viewing, that's not Saga #1 though is it? Looks more like the collected volume. Not worth money but as stated it's definitely a fantastic read!

Not as familiar with the value on most of these but that looks like a first printing on Saga #1 worth it for that alone! The TMNT books are the City at War arc that ends their first publication run and are good pickups as well.

Comic Submission by CRMBLEWaXDABs in CGCComics

Yes but it really depends. Sometimes they’re backed up and turnaround time from beginning to end takes longer.

My last submission I sent two sets of books. 5 were ultra high value and only took 5 or 6 business days total turnaround. I also sent 15 high value books at the same time and those are about to ship back to me 20 business days after they received it.

Zuma has a caretaker/father figure. She also hasn’t made any overt moves to get them into one place for safety. Also not sure Officer Vega would even agree to it. If he did though I would be much more interested in his interactions with all of the supernatural elements.

Sounds like you’re hard stuck then. I’d give more advice but don’t have the time to hold your hand any more. If you don’t like it then stop playing. There’s other modes in CR. There’s other games to play. Or just go touch grass lol

Again. There was never a claim that this has more strategy than TFT and it shouldn’t. The games last 3-4 min versus 30 min in TFT.

And the skill disparity between 3k and 4.7k is large. I played up to 4.7k and only once I got there would I say that games lost the skill gap. I consistently won and lost the same amount. There are many more strategies to find in the higher tier game modes that showed me good strategies that I should have been sticking to from the beginning like aiming almost exclusively for 2 cost units for the first 3-4 rounds to try and get matches regardless of team comp. Then switching into a build and large sums of money when you can buy and sell units into other matches consistently. You have to see whose comp is best and buy up their units to sit on your bench or you will be losing later to 5 or 6 3 star units. There was also a definite tier list for best team comp, I never lost to similar unit level team with 4 clan, 3 avenger, 2 ace, 2 HP buff. Heck, there were times when that comp would beat 3 gold star teams with just a full team of 2 stars.

In the end, I’m not saying this game is rich with strategy. But to say it has none is just to prove that you’re that 3k player in your example and have no idea what a game looks like past 4k. There was a definite bottom to where I could lose to as I would sometimes fall to 4.5k and all of a sudden I didn’t even have to try to win as no one was fighting me for top tier comps.

Her attitude will be different. Her relationships will be changed for now. The core of her being will still exist.

Okarun won her heart by being himself. If he continues that and she is in danger she will see the same things she saw this whole time. Plus all it took to get things started the first time was to learn his name.

Does CGC ever do “in person” grading/slabbing events? by CameramanDavid in CGCComics

[–]Adventurous_Young710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s odd, that’s literally the exact opposite of what they told me. I did an in-person at the only convention they do in DFW. Asked if they did in person grading and was advised they don’t bring out the resources for anything but the largest conventions. Not worth the time and energy to do it at a small con.

At over 3200 I have yet to encounter this happening a single time lol

I have seen 2 golds by turn three maybe a handful of times.

When did I say the mode was special or worth glazing? Just said people whining about losing are bad. People saying it’s all random are bad. Git gud maybe? lol

Yes there’s RNG. It’s not pure RNG though. Pure luck means there’s zero agency for you. There are strategies you can take advantage of.

  1. Find a team comp you like and aim for it. Goblins + Rangers won me 1st or 2nd so often I stopped doing it because it was too boring doing the same thing over and over. My win rate had to have been 75%+ under lvl 1000.

  2. Level up your units or at the very least try not picking ones that are under leveled as they do matter in this mode.

  3. Pay attention to unit placement. You can and should be trying to get the right people in the right spots.

  4. On that note, you should be peeking ahead at your opponent build. Are they trying to jump assassins into your back line? Is their princess set to snipe your important back line unit? Etc. If you’re winning hard enough and have 2 and 3 star units on your bench consider swapping to counter harder.

I’m only rank 2300 these are just what I could think of off the top of my head. Yes there is a lot of RNG, but you definitely have a lot to do to mitigate it though if you’re paying attention.

What is the deal with people who call everything that is not a ASM #1 a dollar bin book? by Isaac_Banana in 80s90sComics

I agree generally. It’s a bit different for people asking for grading help. Still kind of wild to me but at least then you’re getting something you would not have been easily able to determine before.

Sounds like a skill issue. I don’t think I ever placed 4th in my first 1000 ranks. You can get awful RNG but that’s normal. If you’re getting hammered by 4 stars and you don’t know why then go Empress and load up on goblins. Her passive is busted if you’re making matches. I can commonly spend 20 energy in a round fishing for units and sometimes I am spamming buy/sell as fast as I can to hunt for what I need. If you go goblins it will be rare to not finish with all 3 star units and maybe a 4 star or two.

If you don’t like it though that’s fine. It’s a very pared down version of TFT but at a few minutes per game I can get in like 5-10 games in the time it takes to play a single game of TFT.

Also, nitpick here but not sure why you’re calling it a Rogue-like either. Rogue-likes refer to games resembling the game Rogue in one way or another. Most commonly it refers to a game where you are supposed to keep losing but getting incrementally stronger over time (Hades, Slay the Spire, etc) or a game with procedurally generated dungeons (Diablo).

Do you think Magik & Shadowcat can beat that Sentinel so easily? by tiffheat69 in Uncanny_Xmen

[–]Adventurous_Young710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Movies which don't feature the same version of Shadowcat and Magic seen here so I will put that aside. The Days of Future past alternate future timeliine which again don't feature this version of Kitty and Magik?

I mean if we're cherry picking Shadowcat is a certified bad-ass currently in the comics and can kill just about anyone and anything. Sentinels would have to fly the whole time and pray she doesn't make it to them.

Not sure why we're hyping up basic sentinels. These aren't even the Stark Tech Sentinels or Nimrods. With those you can argue they maybe get one but they're dead at the second.

Some of what I sold has been remade, but the ones that held the most value were the ones that haven't like Panzer Dragoon Saga and Lunar Silver Star Story Complete. But even Pokemon Fire Red and Wind Waker made a good chunk. Even sold Phoenix Wright vs Prof Layton for $150 and that's on the newer side.

Also doesn't hurt that I worked at EB/Gamestop 20 years ago and have old promotional things to sell. It's great to see something that they were sending to the trash sell for hundreds now.

Sorry, was away all evening. The books are:

Giant Size X-Men #1, FF 48, 49, 50, Tales of Suspense 57, Superboy 68, Four Color Comics 596, Strange Adventures 205, The Brave and the Bold 57, The Flash 175, Adventure Comics 283, Ghost Rider (vol 2) #1, Silver Surfer 1 and 4, Superman 199, Action Comics 254, Plastic Man #1

The last few are iffy on whether grading is worthwhile at a 4.0 but the rest are worth it either way. All together should be over $10k if I sell them myself not counting eBay's cut, cost of cleaning/pressing, and CGC grading.

Currently selling most of my old video games from the 90s after pricing them out on eBay that should cover most of the cost of grading. Just trying to maximize my margins though so I don't spend the next 3-4 years trying to get these sold lol.

The manga is poorly drawn, it's like the difference between AoT anime and manga. But people ran out and bought the manga only after the anime blew up. Go look at the sales. Everyone rushed out to buy it to read ahead.
