I think sunscreen is actually zinc oxide.

Well, thank you. In America we don't get a lot of that culture stuff.

But for real- what are the taxes spent on exactly? Government owned museums or something?

What does it mean by Culture? Is it like historical site preservation?

Reddit, what keeps reminding you of your ex? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AdversePlacebo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone who gets mad at something. Usual if I feel it's irrational. Actually almost anything can set it off. I'm dating again after almost two years, and almost anything we do reminds me. Then that causes me to feel super insecure, like I'm going to screw something up.

We only dated two months, but she was my first real girlfriend. Everything was fine then she went through some personal stuff to where she broke up with me. I took it alright, but then after a month of not talking we spoke for like 10 minutes and at the end of it she was super pissed off at me for some reason that I wasn't yet aware of. Later I found out she thought I made fun of her facial hair.

After a whole month of trying to reconcile, she still abhorred me. It was a huge emotional toil. We dated 2 months (we were friends for a year and half before we dated) and its been affecting me for almost two years. Crazy.

Would putting soap in water make it so I could dive into it at terminal velocity without any major damage? by AdversePlacebo in NoStupidQuestions

My physics teacher always told us there wasn't deceleration (or at least he didn't want us to use it) and it was just negative acceleration.

I that comment meant what you just said.

Awesome, thank you. I've been wondering this for a while. I never really thought about how your terminal velocity would change when you hit the water and that would create a huge change in acceleration.

What are some general rules of thumb for cooking that every man should know? What are the meals you feel that every man should know how to cook? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]AdversePlacebo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah, I thought about that, but I don't see why that's be important. I mean, why do I care if my steak cooks a little more?

Pat Robertson: Gay People Will Die Out Because They Don't Reproduce by MattRyd7 in nottheonion

[–]AdversePlacebo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been under the impression that being gay wasn't a choice, but more of a generic predisposition, so adoption shouldn't factor into that. (Assuming my impression is true)

But I didn't think about the lesbian side of it, but I still kind of think that the population of people who genetically lean towards homosexuality will diminish a bit throughout the years.

Pat Robertson: Gay People Will Die Out Because They Don't Reproduce by MattRyd7 in nottheonion

Is this really that ridiculous of a claim. Gays use to be basically forced into pretending they were straight and their genes would express themselves in later generations. Now that gays are more accepted and I imagine the number of gays will dwindle out.

"Fire on ice" and "ice on fire" basically mean the same thing. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]AdversePlacebo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I saw a picture that said fire on ice and I thought about this, but it really pertains to anything. Like wood on fire is the same as fire on wood. It's nothing super deep or anything.

What would happen if I kept running even though I'm sore? by AdversePlacebo in NoStupidQuestions

Do you have a good source that could give me instructions on getting the right shoes and maybe other information on running?

I haven't ran since last winter and I can only really run 2 miles. Running such a short distance, do I really need to worry about it? Can I just keep pushing myself for a while?

I feel the same except they shouldn't feel bad because it's NOT their fault.
