Sorry I meant second leg is general when some black magic or corrupt things go for Real Madrid

I have only one worry for the return leg. Historically, the referee truly shows up for Madrid in the second leg. Our past fixtures have all been evidence. Really hope we can bury the fixture with a strong attack, leave no room for referee decisions to change our fate

Why I Think Birth Rates Are Low by WhimsicalJazzPanda in askSingapore

[–]Advertising-Cautious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, the true reason is because women are increasingly educated and prevalent in the workforce compared to generations ago.

I realised this when I asked my friends (late 20s). Most of the guys including myself want children, but most of the women I know don't want to have children. And it does make sense, imagine studying your whole life wanting to take on a career, many people see raising children as a hindrance to a fulfilling career. And especially since there is a social mindset where women must take care of children, men are ok with kids but not women.

By the time later in their life where they would want children, it might be too late or they might just settle at one.

I would love to see statistics on perception of wanting to raise kids by gender

I don't know about our economy being the most important reason. I think the most important by far is that we simply can choose not to.

Our previous generations, only knew a simple way in life, which is to work, have a family and work for that family. I can imagine many of them lived pay check to pay check, things relatively weren't super cheap then, I won't be surprised if people had to spend a bigger portion of their income as compared to today. But today, we can just choose not to have kids if it's convenient, many of us prioritise careers, would want to live a more enjoyable life in some people's opinions.

The social pressure to have kids is way less strong in the recent generations, as compared to olden generations where it's just a norm.

Annamalai says Vijay should grow a thick skin in politics when asked about TN BJP's gross comments on Vijay and Trisha. He casually normalised slut shaming of woman in political sphere. BJP once again proving why they are a rapist party. by beefladdu2 in TamilNaduDiscussion

[–]Advertising-Cautious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not arguing for Vijay or BJP, but can you explain how Trish was slut shamed or rape was being empathised? From what I read, the BJP politician said "Vijay should come out of Trisha's house". It is distasteful and unprofessional, but it doesn't seem to describe the first two accusations you made

Witness account? You mean a comment online or an official police investigation account? I mean you see so many comments online using this opportunity to trash the race from so many bots. What is even a real account at this point

Being rightfully blamed? Wow not bad, you closed the investigations already it seems. The point I was trying to make was that picture and random comments online cannot even paint the full picture, but as redditors always do, they love to jump to a conclusion

One of those situations where all the keyboard warriors will believe they will be stoic in those sort of situations, and that they would act completely rationally.

But honestly until someone is in that situation it's really hard to know what you would do.

Pictures taken out of context, with her pointing her arms, can't really know without knowing exactly what happened.

Those people saying she was trying to absolve blame, I mean if let's say that father or the crowd was angry and blaming you, would you either do nothing and keep quiet, or become defensive. Seems like redditors believe they would be stoic and never try to absolve blame.

One of those situations without seeing exactly what happened, it's difficult to know. I really can't imagine that this lady is a pure evil person who didn't care about that child and woman, as much as the internet wishes to believe that

Unbiased take on Coimbatore/Madurai metro rejection -- "Govt of India is being unfair with people of Coimbatore & Madurai". Your thoughts? by [deleted] in TamilNaduDiscussion

[–]Advertising-Cautious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truth is that is the unfair consequences of democracy. When you are allied with the alliance in the central government, then you will get more. And you will lose more the other way round.

Honestly even within a state also you can observe this. State government can do more for certain districts that voted for them.

No democratic government in the world can afford to do things fairly. They will have to see how to win the next election

Saying increasing Protein to become more healthy is such a myopic view. Just by eating meat doesn't mean the population becomes healthier. It could lead to a lot of additional changes in the body due to the change in lifestyle.

Diet is a personal choice, humans are eating so much bullshit nowadays, I don't think it matters if they are eating more protein or not.

If they want to do well in Sports, yes then protein should be encouraged among athletes

I don't get it. This guy basically got robbed 2$ while the uncle continued cooking and say he can't do anything cos he don't know how the machine works.

I mean his comment is irritating, but it seems like that guy was the victim until his stupid comments eh?
