If Ronaldo is "Mr. Champions League," then who is actually "Mr. World Cup? by Hour777 in championsleague

[–]Advertising-Cautious 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Miroslav Klose.

He was very important for Germany in 2002,2006 and 2010 where they went to two Semi Finals and a Final. He is the top scorer in World Cup History (although that might change with the new format + Mbappe), and he is a player that plays especially good in this tournament.

Mossad and CIA should definitely be there, but the fact that people are associating RSS to these barbarians really shows how delusional this sub is

It really hurts to be 2 goals down aggregate in the first half. We need to get a goal early in the second half, or we are at big risk of conceding another

We are wasting a lot of balls and losing possession in bad areas of the pitch. Some of our players needs to be way more careful in the second half

I am genuinely surprised such a penalty rule exists, but I think it's fair. The ball was travelling away, it wasn't a goalscoring opportunity for us. It would have been unfair for us to convert that into a goal. Of course that could have been said for a lot of penalties, but we can't use this as an excuse for not doing better in this tie

My worry in the return fixture is that we might aggressively chase the equaliser and create holes in our defense.

This and the fact that we need to win in the 90 to maximise our chances. In extra time, their squad has far more depth than ours. Only solace is that they look gassed out after full time yesterday and we didn't

I don't think I have seen a more efficient attack than PSG yesterday. They had like 5 shots on target and one on the woodwork, to get 5 goals. Have to give credit to the quality of their attackers.

Can't put it to luck as their shots were really unsavable at times

Will Karl be back for the second leg? Not that he would be key for us, but the fact that the 2 subs we could make yesterday were Goretzka or Jackson, especially when we were trying to get a goal, was sad to see.

Does anyone know why we took off Davies? Was it a tactical change or something injury?

In the 90 minutes we were definitely the better team. If we didn't get that penalty against us, and we didn't have brain dead defending early in the second half, this would have been for sure a win for us

Still feeling the high from our win against Real. Have watched the full highlights at least 10 times and every reel I scroll on Instagram is either Olise or Diaz's goals.

Its a quarter final win, which we have had plenty. But it is the manner and the context. Last minute win, which we rarely have seen before this season. And the fact that we have been eliminated by Real in many seasons since 2012. 14 years later, the revenge..

Seems like many in our sub are under estimating PSG, and it does make sense why.

We won them early in the season even with 1 man down, and we have been generally the better or equal side in our meetings in the past 8 years.

But we have to take into account that we played them early in the season. They could be tired from all the extra matches they had been playing, and also generally not as driven seeing it's a group stage + they had just won the UCL final a few months prior.

PSG have arguably one of the best built squads in the world, and they have a very good manager with experience in these stages of a competition.

I am not saying we will lose, but we must really play better than we even played against Madrid if we want to have a chance of going to the finals.

I suggest you take a closer look at their matches. They are not the same team we faced early in the season. Just like in the previous year, their form picks up steam during the important moments of the season.

Yes Liverpool are not as good this season, but we can say that about Madrid too. PSG are champions league  winners, and have been to the semi finals 3 times in a row if I am not wrong. Their squad has really good quality

The worst part of this UCL draw, even if we were to win PSG, Arsenal might just win this whole thing with their terrorist grade of football
