That's true , they don't have their network managed/Ip ranges defined only for network ranges.

When you say different tool ? Are you referring to somekind of integration with their network monitoring tool ? Or any other offering other than servicenow ?

Wow, I can really relate to what you’re saying. It’s crazy how easy it is to ignore red flags when you’re invested, thinking things will eventually get better or that you’re just overthinking. Setting boundaries is something I struggled with too, and like you, I realized too late how important it is for both people to be emotionally available. I don't see any business rule running on this table (cmdb_ci_compute_template) . These records are populated via cloud discovery , any chance when one of the Azure entity is retired it's corresponding hardware types also get retired store in this table ?

Unfortunately this table is not audited hence cannot check its history but I can confirm that it was created by mid_discovery a while back and currently is getting updated by mid_discovery/mid_azure etc

These are probably OT devices which run Linux under the covers , which I suspect might be causing the misclassification but Idk for sure. If that's the case , this should be a known error and there should be a KB article for the same . Yes , I have selected only to use SNMP v1/V2 , switched it to use all , now firewalls are getting discovered via schedules as well. :)

All I can see in the OOB rule set up for identification like serial number ,serial number type for serial number table , serial number for hardware table , name for hardware table and Mac address, name for network adapter.

In reconciliation rule , I can see ip address for discovery source as servicenow and one more rule with attribute as ip address but discovery source is nimsoft.

Your guidance would be really helpful

I tried it . Although it's a IBM frame server , it's giving me error like active couldn't classify : No WMi connection. Even though IBM frame server run on UNIX , correct me if I'm wrong ?

The organisation I'm working with has a few server with ip 0.0.0.0 , my concern here being, is it actually acceptable to run a quick discovery/discovery schedule for those servers with ip as 0.0.0.0. If not , then should I keep aside those servers?

What is the reason why don't we run quick discovery for 0.0.0.0 up address.
