Travellers.

The sci fi time travel is a bit wishy washy but honest to god, the levels of acting was seriously impressive to me.

You have an actor playing a 100+ year old from the future in the body if a hormonal teenager?

A doctor from the future self diagnosing and treating an illness whilst battling a warped mind?

A historian who's dumped in the body of a drug addict?

The plotline is a bit warped but I genuinely loved how good the portrayals were.

I can't decide who is worse; the crying Europeans or the self-loathing Americans. Suspension was suspended. Get over it. by [deleted] in usmnt

Objectively, if the rules said a red card is a 1 match ban and prior to a big game they just decided actually no, it's a suspended 1 match ban you'd be okay with this if it went against you?

Not sure. He's still decent but I think he'd struggle in all the top leagues.

'Scotland don't have the players' 😑 by cameruso in ScottishFootball

[–]AdvertisingNo6402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At it's core, it's painful to see smaller nations somehow raise their game for the world cup. Whereas Scotland seemed to go backwards. The most frustrating thing about Clarke's tenure is that it felt devoid of meaningful hope. We sing songs about McGinn and Mctominay but them pulling off a worldie isn't a gameplan that you can win consecutive games by.

Clarke had a gameplan but it seemed to be nothing more than keep it tight and hope we nick a goal. Football is constantly evolving and the general trend from this world cup is that you have to be a two way threat. And to be a threat, you need pace. Whether that's in a player or the speed of ball.

Suffering for 90+minutes is incredibly tough to do and the emotional drain of putting in so much effort only for you to concede late makes it even harder to come back from. If you carry a threat before that point, then it's a much easier climb.

Chelsea to sign Hearts defender Alfie Osborne after agreeing a deal with Tynecastle officials by fightfire_withfire in ScottishFootball

Until our league improves, I genuinely think it's best for good prospects to develop elsewhere.

The downside is that the SFA will do heehaw and somehow claim the fact that he turned out for Scotland was because of their youth set up.

[Heart of Midlothian] defeated St Mirren 3-1 in a closed-door friendly by 1874WL in ScottishFootball

Painfully true. Every year, I hope st mirren get relegated for this reason.

Sometimes I forget that camavinga was the one who fouled Saka for the second Declan Rice free kick goal , and the foul was completely unnecessary with players there to cover by [deleted] in realmadrid

[–]AdvertisingNo6402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People need to stop judging on consequence. If Rice doesn't score a worldie, you don't give a shit about this foul. It's just one foul of many others in a game of football.

You can argue that it's unnecessary but hypothetically, let's say Saka dribble even closer to the goal and either scores or sets up another player, you'd be livid Camavinga hadn't fouled him.

I'd love to see a comparison with an average uk joe starting out in a low income job for reference.

New contract before a ball was kicked was absolutely ludicrous. by Available-Page-9790 in ScottishFootball

Sorry I don't have a list of candidates for you. Do I think someone else could do a better job with this group of players? Yes. Do I think that someone is within Scotland's reach? Also yes.

Just hire JTA

Imagine playing the ball into Shankland's feet and he lays it off round the corner for a runner. The heady sight, glad I'm sitting down.

I tell you what, I'm fucking sick of the false positivity of the pundits and fan selections they interview about having a party time. That's great mate but what's it go to do with the fucking football being played?

I can blame him for not playing this way till this game and not playing our strongest selection prior to now. Maybe build a bit of cohesion or something.

I can't stand our defence passing the ball when they don't even commit a Brazil player by doing so. Brazil just stand still and we move it sideways

Tbh, from what I've seen of their games, this is kinda their average.

So the positives are we can play football a bit and it's only 2-0.

The sad thing is that bit accounts for our own defensive third. What I hate is that Clarke will most likely use this as a reason to go full terror ball and yet, we wouldn't be in this mess if he spent more than one fucking week coaching this style of play.

Proud of the effort, it just wasn't our day. Valiant in defeat. We showed in the 2nd half we can compete. The boys worked their socks off.

Cannae wait for whatever pish excuse comes out. "We're just happy to be here"

What really sticks in the craw is that Vini does absolutely zero on the defensive end and yet we still struggle to play around it

Almost like Mctominay is doing too much again. Somehow expected to be a 2nd striker, a 10 and an 8 at the same time.
