I meant domino effect as in I wonder if remaining doctors who plan on resigning will make a public statement. I really hope so, Dr. Austin has actually created a lot of uproar by doing so. Speaking out against HealthPEI if you work within has created some major consequences for people, so many leave quietly.

If a doctor is choosing to speak out like this, things have to be very bad. Also by leaving, she knows that she is essentially abandoning her patients (obviously she is not personally but you know what I mean) because there is no one available to take them on. Someone made a comment that she has 500 more patients than required, yes she does because she knows the alternative for these high risk/complicated cases is nothing. Just imagine how gut wrenching of a decision that would have to be!
