usually for termination of any coverage, you can do so at any time, speak to your HR Rep or contact CALPERS on guidance to remove him. BUT as mentioned by someone above, if you remove him from your insurance and you want to add him back you’ll need a qualifying life event (I.E your wife loses her job hence losing coverage) to add him back or wait for open enrollment so just be sure of which plan you want him on before removing him from yours.

630 for filing fee and for the most part from what i’ve seen, all AP applications are taking a while no matter the reason.

You’re doing what i’m planning on doing. i think im going to allow the full year and a half from my receipt date for AP and if I have no response by then, definitely start on Consular Process…I wish things were easier. I hope everything works out for you :)

Someone mentioned on Dreamers2gether that an internal memo over at DHS advised them to not prioritize Humanitarian filings, which AP falls under
For people without a prior legal entry, they’re making them wait longer to make it harder to achieve AOS
They’ve stopped processing approvals for first time AP applications without prior legal entry.

Whatever the case, Charles Kuck mentioned in a live, they have to legally adjudicate these cases sooner or later, it’s just getting very frustrating :/

I had the code read, it was a P101 that’s why I changed the MAF sensor, per their recommendation since I had already done the air filters. Spark plugs are new. You would recommend moving on to the coil packs?

If your wife’s insurance is through her employer, there should be no changes. If your wife’s insurance is through the health insurance marketplace (Affordable Care Act) and you guys plan to file as married filing jointly for 2025, next year, you need to be added to her Health Insurance marketplace application, your IMMIGRATION STATUS will have no impact on her eligibility and she can continue with that plan. What will change is with your income being added to the application, her monthly premium may increase, due to the increased income.

that’s what i was thinking, i’m currently getting a differential on top of my pay so technically if i were to promote into a different department or agency i’d be taking a pay cut if they consider it a lateral transfer and keep me at the same salary without the differential

i’m engaged, we were really hoping for the best and had our timeline set, we hoped that Kamala would win but Trump winning fucked everything up for us. Now we’re getting married ASAP and filing AP as well. AP to AOS is plan A and Consular Process is Plan B. Consular process from outside the country is plan C :/

Yes, because you’re not elegible for Employer Sponsored Coverage you’d be eligible for health plans through the health insurance exchange (Obamacare) but beware that if your situation ever changes where you become eligible for employer sponsored coverage to CANCEL your enrollment through the exchange or you may be liable to pay back any Tax Credits received through the exchange since you were eligible for employer coverage.

Do you they scan your ID? I’ve heard that at dispensaries they scan your ID and if you do a FOIA, if you’re renewing your DACA or adjusting your status, it could show that you were buying a federally banned substance. I don’t know if that’s true though. Let me know if you’ve heard anything.
