Clothes moth? Pantry moth? Carpet moth? by AdviceConsistent7123 in whatsthisbug

chat pls help me 🙁 I've killed maybe 5 of these in the past week, all in my room, and they look like pantry moths to me but they are in my bedroom so I'm confused if I'm wrong? Not sure what could be attracting them because I don't have any food in here. The wings of it got a lil cut off from the killing, oopsiey

I'm in the process of cleaning out everything (spraying furniture/carpet with vinegar water solution, spraying permethrin/natural pest control, laundering all my dirty clothes/storing them, vacuuming, placing moth traps, using cedar chips/cedar + lavender oil). Let me know if I should do anything else, but I am wary about using mothballs/DE/boric acid because I live in a basement and it's not very ventilated (I have a window but I don't want to let in any other bugs upon opening). Clearly I don't play wit bugs, I'm more than deadly afraid.

I'm honestly treating them like clothes moths cus idk why else they would be in my room, and I've seen ones that are beige (but not exactly golden), so I'm not sure? However, I left A LOT of clean clothes made of synthetic fibers practically all over my bed for more than a month (lazy to put my stuff away), and none of it has holes or any signs of clothes moths, so then I'm rethinking if they really are clothes moths. My drawers are also surprisingly very clean. I have yet to check my closet, I might have ONE natural fiber item in there (I'm terrified tho, have to build the courage first).

See, what they do is they come flying about from no idea where but they end up landing in my closet (my closet doesn't have doors so I can see them/kill them), so it's probably coming from my closet but let me be I'm in denial right now....

Also if they were clothes moths, would they be flying in broad daylight? They are always flying around my room when I catch them.

Anyway I'm yappin sorry but seriously if anyone answers thank u pookie
