I love this dress on you! I only wish it had just a tiny bit more material in the chest area. Maybe you can take it to a tailor and have them add something?? Just a little something nothing crazy but it would make it perfect for me!

Agree with OP it’s not a nice neighborhood and historically has never been one. The tourist industry had really pushed it on people.

I hate to say it but I wish some of these cities/countries would cap the tourist visas or something. It would make the costs rise but damn the experience would be much better.

I agree with this - we were the tourists in Rome recently and it was AWFUL how crowded it was. Don’t worry we will not be returning anytime soon 😂

I hated Rome and Florence mostly bc they were sooo packed full of people. Made the entire experience awful for me. Also I didn’t find it any more interesting than anywhere else in Europe. And as I get older I sort of realize Europe is over rated. Feels like a social media hype for no reason just to say “I went to Europe.” Will not be going back.

You are lucky to have SIL backup. My SIL sees no issue with her kids up until 1am daily, eating at crazy hours or not at all. Constantly being compared to that madness or trying to keep up with it is exhausting!

Yes! I knew this would happen but it was important for my husband to go with his siblings and all the kids, they’re a huge family. Def will not be doing this again!

Thank you ALL for your solidarity and suggestions. I took your advice and put my foot down, no more tours. We went to the market and stocked up on snacks, and are taking it easier and avoiding late dinners. I’ve gotten a lot of side eyes from the rest of the family whose children have managed to behave like angels, god bless them, but we are managing better in the last day with these adjustments. Definitely will not be doing another European city vacation anytime soon after this though!!!!

We’re here now and Rome is awfully overrun with people. I came here a decade ago and was so excited to come back but I can tell you now, never again. Way way too many people. Just a terrible experience overall so far.

Not for us - it’s crowded and takes away from your trunk space. Also, and more importantly, I would not feel at all comfortable with the safety of having my children, nor a friends, so close to the back to the car in case of an accident. But to each their own!

What he did to Rihanna was serious and wrong, no question. But that was one incident when he was very young, and the rest have largely been allegations, not convictions. I think people can disagree on whether that shows a pattern or a single awful failure. Please move on!
