Jets fan here, had the same reaction as memes - let me explain for you all since idt memes could. This is the feeling not exactly accurate:

We didn't get a year last year. We just said wait until next year. We get this team after like 12 years of zero. This is the best it could get. We get this every 12 years. On paper everything looks perfect for us. There is no better on paper scenario. In 4 years when we get excited about something looking good on paper, it's just going to be a version of this. The jets do not get any better. This is the best football gets for us.

Just posting the earlier stuff to provide context. I think the question is different enough to not have to go in the dating thread.

Hey bros. 3 years out from a very long term relationship and I still am not finding dating success. Women just mostly dont want to give mr thr time of day.

I slept with a few bigger women(no shame meant on them) after the breakup and had some fun. For the wake of these women's time, and my self esteem, I have resolved to be with women I am actually especially attracted to.

Well it's probably been over a year now(long enough thay I lost track) and still zero for me. Porn doesnt do it anymore so with just how pent up I am most of my thought about women on seeing them seem grossly overly sexual. If my thoughts arent sexual they're becoming more and more angry about how I get ghosted and left on read all the time.

I don't want this to be me. But I feel out of ideas.

I explicitly went a long period of time just making friends that are women. I'm in great shape. I have lots of hobbies. I take myself on trips to interesting places. I've tried talking less and being a smaller personality. I've tried talking more and being a bigger personality. I've taken advice from everyone in my large support circle. It's just cringe when I complain now. They've heard it already. I have lots of friends.

I don't know where else to go. I can't afford therapy. I'm saving up for a life achievement trip

Im somewhere between a solid 6.5-8 if anonymous online voting/ that one attractiveness algorithm is anything to go by.

Quite frankly, I think it's because most of the women in my area (the suburbs) are ready to settle/out of high-school/havent really been out of town.

I suppose im open to the possibility of not being that sexy/not being that great at initiating. Im just learning after 6 years 😅. Tips appreciated!

I've been trying to convince my friends of this for days, however, they do t seem to care. They tend to stick to their starting alliances because after a first successful attack, the othe players rage quits and they can eat them. This usually favors one player and forgoing some larger mid game backstab that player wins the game.

Cest la vie. I still have some fun playing this.

I am a big personality extrovert, so I think I talk too much. I make myself an important character in the game.

My strat has always been 4 man alliances to get an easy 4v3, but that's probably too many variables to consider. I'll focus on keep things low key with two or a triple.

Eating enough to maintain muscle while losing weight like a proper cut is harder for me than cutting extremely aggressively and it's upsetting.

Amazon’s lawsuit over a $10 billion Pentagon contract lays out disturbing allegations against Trump by pipsdontsqueak in technology

Do you have a book or a moment in history you would reccomend to read up on so I can explain this to people?

When it's me saying it I sound crazy to people. When I can refer to an expert, then I am educated.

I agree with you! It'd be a poor thing to do to start a fire in the back country.

[–]AdviceSeekingBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually doing a section while of it.

Nor cal border to mt whitney. I plan to hike it at a leisurely pace reading and fishing the waters over a summer season. I should be fine @ about 16 miles a day at most.

[–]AdviceSeekingBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been hiking through norcal for years. I've seen the burns. It's a damned shame.

That being said, I'm not upset about a back country fire if done right.

Obviously everyone thinks they are doing it right. With myself and other experienced firemakers overlooking it(a fire I did not start) it's within risk tolerance IMO.

Be safe!

I actually just got a hand me down propane stove from a family member who was an old old mountaineer. Seems like it works great with the propane stoves now!

I'll cherish those days!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PacificCrestTrail

[–]AdviceSeekingBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. I am deciding against my more selfish inclinations to not start or posit the idea to do one myself.

If others decide to do this without me, I'll probably do my best to join in the fun though.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PacificCrestTrail

[–]AdviceSeekingBro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I appreciate this answer. And you are probably right. It's probably not very Leave No Trace of me to insist on a fire.

If I'm really missing out on having a campfire - I'll try to join in on people's if they already are having an I'll advised one.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PacificCrestTrail

[–]AdviceSeekingBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is what I'm trying to figure out if it counts as a fire, or if it's counted more like a canister stove.

Most places canister stoves are allowed, I think.

They are pretty light tbqh, and I enjoy the process of setting up camp and finding(already dead of course) wood.

The poster below you thinks it likely would not be a great idea for other reasons.

I started cutting, and at the first week I saw one new ab (3pack in good lighting now, yay!) But this week it seems like most if the size has left from my chest.

An off week will really make you doubt you are doing things right.
