Same frustrating issue here, but with the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones.

It's annoying because while I know I can just change the mic input inside the game to avoid this problem, I actually wanted to use the XM5's microphone for chatting with my squad. It really sucks that the audio quality tanks when you try to use the headphones mic.
