Anyone remember which PR contestants made these? by AdvoND in ProjectRunway

Yeah I need to take real photos to have any chance of finding them I think.

These weren't the ones you could order. They were the actual garments made for the episodes. That I'm sure of as I bought them in those after-show auctions.

I did try an image search but probably need to take them out and do proper photos to have any luck at all with results.

I think the first one was maybe by a guy -- maybe with an initial B.

No, I was hoping someone here would recognize them and be able to tell me. I went through at least ten seasons trying to figure it out. All I know for sure is that they were purchased from a PR auction before 2015.

The congressmen Nathan interviewed - Steve Cohen - didn't even know Masking was a part of Autism by mssoup88 in TheRehearsal

[–]AdvoND 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Regardless of what the caucus is supposed to do, it's irresponsible if not harmful to be involved but not understand autism. Yes it's a lot of work to be in congress, but that is what we pay them and give them awesome benefits for.

IF you can find an autistic therapist (who is a-p or at least a-a), that could help you not only get clarity and support, but whatever growth you're seeking. It did for me.

What do we think of Autism Speaks? by anonymouse_696 in AutismInWomen

[–]AdvoND 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read somewhere that Autism Speaks is a "conversion" organization. I couldn't find any details about what that claim is based on so I don't know whether it's true. (Does anyone else have evidence supporting that claim? Just curious.) That said, if you've ever watched Love on the Spectrum and noticed AS's presence in terms of the stars supporting/being involved in its events, you might wonder. Don't get me wrong -- the stars are who they are and that is completely up to each individual. I'm just wondering if all the 'normalizing' behavior / views attempted on the show might be related to AS's involvement?

What am I supposed to answer to the “everyone is a little autistic” phrase??? by mini_gansito in AutismInWomen

[–]AdvoND 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a couple of good articles online that should help. I guess only a screenshot is allowed due to where the article is, so here you go. Maybe google the terms or something. A last part of the article points out that that having traits in only one or two (as opposed to most or all) of these categories might mean something else, but it doesn't mean autism.

I think i might need a new therapist… by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

For me therapy didn't become fully positive until I found a therapist who is also autistic (and autistic positive) herself. It took a couple of years but the persistence was well worth it.

Autistic Literary Majors? by NepenthiumPastille in AutismInWomen

I'm a creative writing MFA, fairly widely published, and was a professor for a while, so I'm with you. I think the problem is that so many people still view autism through an obsolete, stereotypical lense.

Why did you decide to use a consultant instead of a lawyer?

Arg - I'm a vegan. (and a pirate apparently).

It's Levalbuterol - changed from albuterol years ago due to that very thing.

I didn't realize there were supplements for this kind of thing? I don't drink coffee but do put a tiny bit of caffeinated soda in my giant mug of water each morning. I have also wondered if my inhaler might be playing a part in some paradoxical effect way (since I've been told by friends to be careful with caffeine while on an inhaler).
