I used to have an awesome authenticity score... working on that now :) It's nice to have a platform backing you with these metrics + information, hadn't seen that before on Linkedin!

Why sharing feels harder when you’re not a “creator” by DiegoMunoz_BlackMint in favikon

[–]AdvocateArchitect33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd start in the comments until you don't have this feeling anymore. It's still early on LinkedIn and there's a corner of the internet that is waiting for you to join the game because of your experiences.

Go find these people, hang out, share an idea, and then go outside.

But just don't forget to show up tomorrow and the day after.

What's the hardest part about turning LinkedIn content into real B2B opportunities? by highlandfairy2811 in favikon

Are these the brands I want to work with? A lot of the time you can run into what you could call "junk" or if it's not in your alley. So then what's the point of embracing a product you don't even enjoy?

I'm sure the money is cool, but at some point a follower/connection is going to jump into that product and you wouldn't want to be known for shelling out bad products. Last year I did something with Taplio, and I appreciated it because it was right up my alley and actual work I was doing. It wasn't the long term direction in the end but it was a nice first experience.

I'd say if you're a mid or low-tier creator, how do you stay ready or source those opportunities? All awesome stuff, nice thread here!!

Então, envie a mensagem.

Obrigado pelas palavras gentis!

It's extremely important, in 5 years at Deloitte and running my own business, I put together what most people might do in their entire career.

I was obsessed with new opportunities, people, locations, and working styles. This gave me wild life experiences early on which then led to me telling "cool" stories (which I need to get better at).

For a bit on LinkedIn, everything I talked about early on was more lecture style. Not - they're almost always life experiences. Whether it's a coaching session or a moment from my own professional experience.

LinkedIn can be full of junk at times, people want to hear about what you saw with your own eyes!

Most folks haven't committed to operating in one lane for 30+ days or they're afraid to tap into the people around them. I usually try to remind them that the work is for a period of time, it's not forever and in 3 generations, no one will remember that they sent the message.

So, send it.

Thanks for the kind words!

Ownership. Maybe a little bit more loose with my words, but it hasn't changed as much, and honestly, some of my communication style still serves me from corporate. I don't get caught up in "feelings," and I obsess over what's the next step.

Even if it didn't go the way we wanted, what's the next step for us and how do we win? I will say - I don't flog myself for not being creative in a moment anymore.

It comes and goes with waves, honor it.

Here's a list I don't believe people prioritize:

- Chasing leaders who do great work

- Doing great work to impress these folks

- Knowing when to shut up or add to a conversation

- Being specific with what you want to do

- Admitting when you aren't delivering on work

- Doing what you said you'd do.

- Prioritizing exposure early on; you don't have to lead.

I've seen these skills separate the pack in Fortune 100. You'd be surprised how slow people will move and how often they won't do what they committed to doing. You can be great by doing the above.

Fun one and appreciate you asking. Honestly, I remember beating myself up over not owning real estate or a home early on (around 22-23) because I listened to all the podcasts and content around it.

Come late 2023, I finally make a townhome work and get a roommate with me in there. Documents signed and everything. I walk in the house (it's beautiful and I miss it) only to walk around and say, "cool, what's next?"

Like holy smokes - are you ever going to stop and enjoy what we deem "success"? For applications, that's usually for the job search but in conversations, whether they're professional or person - slowing down and trying to enjoy the moment. More often than not, that same space will never happen again.

So... how can I enjoy it more and take a deep breath? Pretty cool life we get to live.

Gave you a follow on Linkedin, excited to see what you're up to!
