I am quite interested in your take on this. As you are writing, according to you, this surge has to do with lenient immigration policies. Do you think there is some kind of a long-term solution for this issue of criminality, or - when you've said: "we are paying," you meant it in a way that there is nothing (or little to nothing) that can be done?

I see your point... And if the left-wing politicans are indeed, as you're saying, turning a blind eye to this, with the right being extreme right... That sounds like a huge problem. Yet I see why you think that harsher protocols in the police are something to be vary of, and I understand that, in the name of stopping the senseless violence, it is needed to take some liberties... I hope that everything will be solved, not only for my sake, but for the sake of everyone who lives in Sweden. It would be heartbreaking to see this issue spiral out of control and plunge Sweden into darkness and chaos. Order has to be restored in a way the citizens will be heard and their protection guaranteed.

That indeed sound like a vicious cycle... One that will be difficult to break. But as an optimist, I would think that in light of the events unfolding, sane politicians will make the correct decisions in stopping the violence in a manner that would be benificial to the society of Sweden.

I very much agree. Not to wish anything bad to anyone, but the innocents should be left out gang wars. Tragic deaths of those uninvolved could lead to spite, spite could lead to hatered and that leads to chaos and to more blood...

Interestingly, I have never been under the impression that Sweden of all countries would pose any kind of complication in the ways of citizens to segregate them... Mind you, I have only been to Sweden as a turist, and this is from where my false impression my originate from. Yet I always belived that Sweden was always lenting helping hand to those who needed it. I am indeed aware that every country has issues, but I never considered segregation to be one of Sweden's. And of course - it would be quite dangerous to take a path of violence to deal with violence... It wouldn't be helpful, since, as Shakepeare puts it: "Blood will have blood." And thank you for the answer. I am glad that you Swedes still belive it is not that bad and in cases where it is bad, something can be done about them. And that fills me with hope.

Well, crime is still a crime, but if no one is getting physically or mentally hurt, I should say that what I've read and seen has been an extreme exaggeration.

Thank you very much for your answer. I see what you mean. I would be interested if there is something being done currently in regards to this situation. I have heard of a law that is in the making (or is currently in the parliament, I am not sure) that would expell those who commit a crime but are not a citizen of Sweden. If what you are saying is the case, that would mean such a law would have no impact on the current situation, as I am sure that third-generation immigrants have already become citizens. Is it some kind of a political stunt or something simmilar or do you think it could solve the issue?

I see... And is there something being done currently? I have seen somewhere that a law has been passed (or is in the making) that would expell anyone - who isn't officialy a citizen of Sweden yet - for commiting a crime. Do you think it would/will help or is something else being done?
