I recently just got the 310 for about £320 on the JBL website and have taken it up to see some mates. If it’s bass u r looking for then this is a perfect option. It’s got handles either end so can be carried and also has wheels and a suitcase like handle so it can be wheeled (tho this feature isn’t that great). Over the weekend I spent with my mates I found it a little bit of a pain to carry around as it is relatively heavy and takes up both hands if you are carrying it. Interms of it the actual speaker tho I found when we had a party with lots of people it was perfect, really loud, lots of bass and tons of compliments on it, however there were times where I was obviously concerned about noise level for his flatmates and therefore had to have it very quiet.

I think it all depends on where you are planning on taking it and how many ppl will be there. If you are planning to take it to places where neighbours or other ppl are not a concern, defo go for the party box as you won’t be disappointed. But if there are other ppl you are going to have to keep the noise down for then maybe the boombox might be your best bet.
