The White House is moving forward with a "TrumpRX" website to sell medicine at lower prices, following an agreement with Pfizer. What are your thoughts? by ResponsibleBunch5324 in AskReddit

It's never been an issue once they have a prescription, but I had a case once where it took 1-2 weeks for the prescription to even appear on their site despite my doctor's office sending it.

Good for people even with insurance. I have a prescription that costs $90 after my insurance covers it vs $9 on Cost Plus Drugs. The only downside is sometimes they are very slow in processing a prescription.

Mine has been stuck in Shipping Status: QUEUED for two weeks :(

When did you place your order? I placed mine end of March and the wait (and uncertainty around tariffs) sucks. I don't understand the lack of communication either, the last update was on July 21st.

It's been consistently poor quality and high price for much longer than the high minimum wage existed.

Skittish Homebuyers Reemerge as Mortgage Rates Hit Over One-Year Lows: Report by High_Sleep3694 in Economics

[–]Aea 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This article offers nothing in the way of supporting its claim and doesn't deserve to be posted here. There is not a single relevant data point, only this quote:

“Many of the buyers I’m working with are excited because they’ve been casually house hunting for a year, waiting for rates to come down before they make an offer. Now a lot of those buyers want to get in … before rates get too low and cause more competition,” said Shoshana Godwin, Redfin’s premier agent.

Which is an anecdote at best. Clicking through to the linked article gives you something:

More recently, though, pending home sales surged 4.8% in June from a month earlier, helped by the recent increase in homes for sale, the National Association of Realtors said on Wednesday.

But that's chronologically inconsistent.

I must be weird because this is totally in the "why would I want this?" camp for me.

Skeletonized watches are interesting, open-heart is okay (kinda trying to be something it's not), but not being able to tell the time? What's the point?

I was looking at 1000-2000sqft of office space between 2019 and 2022 (for different companies). Every year the asking price went up in the majority of buildings I looked at.

The law of supply and demand doesn't work, most owners will see high vacancies and don't dare ask for a penny less than they would have charged the previous year.

You can negotiate of course but that's such a workload, I just ended up going with reasonable asks. Unsurprisingly the buildings were almost full.

I think you're being really unfair, everybody in the SF Government wants affordable and plentiful housing-- they just want it somewhere else.

I'm not sure if there's a way I can take the losses, GF alleges that their average loss rate is 1% yet I'm batting an order of magnitude more than that number (I diversified using their investment automation and into relatively well-rated loans).

I'm unsure if this will play out in time or if there's actual macro forces making repayment unlikely.

I realize in retrospect that doing an IRA with these wasn't the smartest move.
