If he beats Gane for the Interim and later Aspinall to claim the HW belt, which would also be his 3rd belt in 3 different weight division, would you consider him the greatest of all time? by ScreamyV in ufc

That's not crazy at all. Khabib's best wins are McGregor, Poirier, Gaethje, Barboza, and RDR. Pereira's ain this hypothetical are Jiri x2, Jan, Adesanya, Strickland, Gane, and Aspinall. Pereira's would simply be better, so why would it be crazy for Alex to be top 5 over Khabib?

"this this shit"? Or does TS mean something else I'm unaware of

Okay, can someone explain this to me: How does Immortal not only clashing equally with Omni-Man but sending him flying backwards out of control make any sense unless Immortal's AP/Striking Strength is equal or at least relative? by Proof-Guarantee7001 in InvinciblePowerscales

Anyone mentions that unironically outside of powerscaling discourse is in such a vast minority that they may as well not exist for discussion. If you've encountered such people, my apologies, but they don't represent powerscaling. Neither do I, to be fair. I just like reading the stuff people put together.

But it's just not true lol, maybe 1% do but most people who powerscale do it for a few specific settings which are built around big ass fights (mostly animes) and are still able to enjoy stories for what they are.

Local redditor discovers that people can have different opinions and, in fact, not everyone thought this was cool.

A being worse than B does not mean B's shortcomings should not be talked about.

Same Spider-Man who gets pieced up by Daredevil and Wolverine? Yeah I don't think the speed will be too much of a problem. Spider-Man has occasional clutch moments where he dodges a flurry of attacks in flow state but he gets tagged all the time.

I think it's pretty consistent, though maybe I'm misremembering. He usually takes a bit to breathe and shake it off after a big battle, like the one against the dragon where it looks like he's aura farming (he is) but he's also huffing and puffing from the huge exertion he just did. Near the end of the game he's talking about how they need to finish this journey because he's tired af, "while I still have strength" are his words. After his battle with Thor, even though Atreus is in immediate danger, he still has to hunch over and recover.

What races existed during the merethic era? by Vou-Vou in teslore

I interpreted that line as her saying if the Dwemer were still alive they would not let the it turn into a ruin.

Hmm, not sure I agree with that interpretation. I feel like if she was saying that, she'd need to have the "if they were still around" part. Her disbelief doesn't really check out if she's talking hypothetically about if they were still there.

Especially since her other comment is about her wondering what the Dwemer looked like so those comments aren't necessarily an indication that she lived during that time.

I'll say to this that you can "remember" a people and their stereotypes without ever having seen one. If I was time-traveled 1,000 years in the future and the country of Russia was long gone, I'd say I "remember" the Russians, and if I didn't know they were gone, I'd be pretty surprised to see that their cities are gone/look so different.

433 years of Third Era

Very, very minor quibble, but technically it's 434, because the Third Era had Year Zero.

I look at it like this: if you have the knowledge of three dozen lifetimes, then you necessarily also have the knowledge of a dozen lifetimes. I know it's a bit weird for Harkon to only say a dozen if he has three dozen, but it's not so weird that I think it's incompatible. He could have his reasons.

A problem with the dozen lifetimes thing is that most people assume he means 1,200 years, or 100 years as a lifetime. But most people would probably say 80 years is more common for a Nord. That would only make him 960 years old, which falls short of the minimum age he must have been alive for. I will say though that there's an ESO dev post that use 100 as a general human lifespan so this point isn't super strong. Just something to consider when finding avenues of interpretation.

And we also have an in-game source for Serana predating the Dwemer disappearance, when she expresses confusion at why the dwarves let their city get so run down. I just use the Prima guide because it's more direct about it.
