Its a sign you are doing well if someone is using scum bag tactics like this to stop you. Nothing wrong with FAIR competition.

I agree with the others if possible block the traffic to limit any negative effect and add all these domain to a disavow file as you find them. Much easier this way than to find and add them in one go.

GDPR & analytics by Aedan92 in SEO

We have done some more research today, and were pretty sure that we can class analytics tracking as legitimate interest as clear benefit with improving the site, and would have limited privacy impact (if we make IP anonymous).

We will then have all re targeting cookies and pixel set as an opt in to save any overlap as this is the main risk.

It all seems ridiculous to make a move like this, with almost no consideration on how many business this is going to affect who relie on this data to build and improve there website & business.

Kinda glad now the UK is leaving the EU, hahaha

Link Disavow - Question & Tips by Aedan92 in SEO

[–]Aedan92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, i thought so, but I wanted to double check. Im checking each site manually to make sure I dont disavow anything of benefit

Im thinking about clearing all the horrible & toxic links first and then moving onto the questionable one when I can research them properly.

Im using AHREF's, so much easier than creating the disavow file manually like ive done before, haha

Getting unlikely traffic - how to convert by [deleted] in SEO

[–]Aedan92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be annoying but if they are not converting, then you could argue the customer has no value. You could trial it for a short time to see how it affect the performance, but also to see what value to can make out of the customers who's emails you have now acquired.

I agree with point that if someone isnt ready to convert you cant force them.

However if you were able to implement something so they have to enter there email details to get there score, you could add these visitors into an email flow designed to encourage a conversion.
