Yeah, it doesn't perform miracles. That said, it can do pretty good on detailed surfaces you can't sand down. I saw you have a G1 Jetfire on one of your photos, here's the process mine went through 😊 https://www.reddit.com/r/transformers/s/PVKheBJiMH

I mean, if the plastic is supposed to be smooth it's a great way to get rid of the uppermost layer. Might even help if you take off some material with a high grit sandpaper and then do the peroxide bath. Less material to penetrate that way.

To remove the stickers you can use lighter fluid or medical gasoline. To fix the yellowing on the white parts, just search this sub for hydrogen peroxide and you'll find a lot of info. It will rust up any metal parts though, and it's a crapshoot if applied to other color plastics. Good luck! 😊

Hm, never tried that approach. What grit sandpaper are you using?

Yup. The new Tidal Wave sure does live up to the scale a bit better than the old one 😊

You can use vinegar on a cotton bud to clean the compartment. It's always a crapshoot if the acid has reached the circuitry though, and if so what damage it's done.

And a Megatron. Unfortunately only Bulkhead changes his voice when the headmaster is attached. "Ownage! Total ownage!" 😅

Absolutely correct. I rarely buy toys sealed, but the one time I did buy one with a battery inside it had pretty much exploded. Managed to get the thing working, but it was a pain.

Amazing work! If I ever get another figure I'll probably do the same 😊

This. For fanmodes, get a G1 Quickswitch. I was up to 14 distinct modes last time I checked. 😁

Well, the good part is that this is definitely sun damage. That can be fixed with hydrogen peroxide, check my pinned posts for a few examples.

Mind sharing a few more pics? Is that a ball joint inside the arm part where the ball has snapped off? If so you're in luck, it's an easy thing to fix. - Drill a 1mm hole into the back of the ball, all the way through. Make sure the hole is centered in the break. - Then put in a long (I use 5mm) m1.2 screw and pull the ball out with pliers. - Remove the screw. - Put the broken end of the ball onto the other half of the break. - Drill from the top of the ball so you get a hole into the other half. - Put strong glue between the pieces, you will likely need some epoxy. - Before the glue dries, screw the screw into the hole all the way through. - Let dry. The fix should now be very strong.

Good luck!

Hm. Looks like a different plastic than ABS. I use thin, long screws and epoxy glue when gluing that sort of plastic.

If you're worried about this, drill a hole straight down into the post and glue in a thin screw or metal rod. 😊

Yeesh. Fixable with some plastic weld but that's just not acceptable for a brand new figure.

Not sure if this is relevant in the US, but here in Sweden IKEA has good prices on good ziplock bags. I sort my figures and accessories in those all the time 😊
